Maybe this will prompt Tubby to recruit some shooters in the future because he has a dearth of them on this basketball team. He definitely needs to get into the 21st century. 60's style basketball doesn't cut it today. He complains about Hoffarber taking too many bad shots. How about the inability of any of the rest of the members of his basketball team even having the talent to shoot the ball whether it be free throws or from the floor. He knew what this team lacked and he still didn't correct the problem.

I agree with what you are saying but I wouldn't be too quick to dis 60's basketball. The fundamentals were way better back then and the 18-22 year olds weren't in the pros. As Jay Bilas was saying the other day on Mike and Mike 'college basketball was far better even 10-15 years ago.

The 60's style you're referring to featured much better shooters than what we see today. It's the athleticism that's changed the game.

Yeah...would love to see that 22 foot set shot against some of the athletes that are playing today...

Go back and look at how the playground type player (read black athlete) changed the game of basketball from psssing and shooting to running and jumping...its the drive and pass that has shooters getting shots more than not in todays basketball

Which is why I said athleticism has changed the game.

Agreed, it's just too bad the fundamentals didn't follow in the transition.
