The ghosts of Crazy George and the honor of Jim Brewer, Dave Winfield, Clyde Turner and the squad will be in the backdrop as Bill's son, Minnesota raised and former Wolves assistant Eric Musselman brings his Trojan squad to The Barn.

12-3 overall, but 1-3 in the Big Ten, this is a big game for USC. This is also a big game for the rising Gophers who have won 6 of last 7 games, including 5 straight. It's Friday night, squad balling, big name, let's be the 6th man!!!

Energy will be high. Win streak on the line. LFG!

GET 'ER DONE MEDVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

47 vs 82 in the NET rankings. This is a game we typically lose as Gopher fans. We finally have momentum and then fall on our faces. Let's go Niko break the trend and keep our foot on the gas.
In all fairness, the 'fall on your face game' would have been Iowa. :ROFLMAO:

That said, house money, baby! Let's go, boys!

Truth, hoping Niko breaks that trend. Cannot lose tonight, or vs. Wiscy. Have to keep the mo going.

Gophers have had a penchant for losing (especially at home) right when they start catching the eye of casual fans & a local media that generally speaking doesn’t have the time of day for them. And it’s usually a gigantic tird, awful performance.

If we win tonight, the atmosphere for wisconsin will be incredible. (Deep breaths...deep breaths...have to win tonight).

Go Gophers!!

They do but right now they are playing teams that are objectively more talented then then, USC is much more athletic, and Wisconsin will present physical match up problems as well. We just have no margain for error and if I'm USC I am taking to the hole and getting JCJ and Tyson to rack up fouls. I hope we can keep it going through the home stand but dropping this one wouldn't be nearly as catastrophic as coming home and losing to Us Washington after sweeping the LA road trip last year, but with that said we need the next two if we want to get back on the bubble and get some votes in the polls.

Lately I've been wondering if there is something different about this team vs. some of the teams of the last 12 years. Sure, coaching is a big part of the difference but the way the players have persevered through injury adversity and shrugged off early season failures has been impressive.

Two weeks ago Reynolds had us pulling our hair out. Lately he looks like one of the more valuable players in the league. His player efficiency rating is only 13.8 for the season but it's 22 in the four league games. Having two lightly recruited freshmen as our only subs seemed scary previously but they've played hard and have helped despite not scoring much other than Grove's performance against Northwestern (with a big assist from Reynolds).
