Good 1st half......couple of miscues on defense, but overall good playing
 

Defense gives up 10 points to a pretty good offensive team and there's bitching?
Offense scores 21 points and there's bitching?
Fucking amazing.
 




Last 3 games in the first half: 7, 14, and 10 points allowed. They're getting better.

Defense looked like a defense that should have given up 17. We will be happy with ten allowed.

This is something that shouldn’t be said. We aren’t running read option. He doesn’t have the option to keep it on 99% of the plays we run.

Yes, the only thing that angered me was that receiver being wide open for a huge gain on that last Purdue drive after the defense almost chased Plummer out of bounds.
 

If we are + turnovers in second half we should win. If not then no.

I am not against Wiley, and I bet he might have a few 70 yard TD runs before he is done, but he is not likely to extend runs or punish defenders like MO, Gary Russell, Cobb, MBIII, or even Maroney did, but then again neither did Marcus Allen (he has the same look pless 20 pounds)
 



Defense still with some miscues, but less. They are occuring once or twice a quarter instead of once or twice every 3 downs.
 



I actually think the Iowa defense might be really good.
QB is a zilch though.

So did I, I thought he left after trying to play both sides of the ball for years,, then he emerged last week playing CB of all things, the hardest spot to be great at on any team in my book.

I think Wiley will be a good runner. For his style, he just needs the next 10-20 lbs of muscle.
He's young yet and can gain to be that Eddie George style runner, but he's not there yet. To light to break tackles against college players.
 

I wonder how much money Coney Dürr has lost tonight? From a middle 2nd. round to 4th. round - at best.

So Iowa’s D held Purdue to 24
But their offense only managed to put up 20 on Purdue’s mediocre D

I disagree with that adamantly against a team who has shown they can't run against us and their other WR we have guys who can actually run with him

I'm just glad they are playing. Sounds like we could have been really close to being cancelled, and we might not have football these next two weeks.
 

If I'm Purdue's OL coach and studied film the way he should've. I'm grabbing the OC and Brohm by the throat and yellling, "RTB..........RUN THE BALL!!!!!!!!!"

He's played well except for the long play on third down. NFL GM's will overlook that.

Iowa's offense put up 35 last week and could have put up 50 plus if they wouldn't have pulled the starters.
