***OFFICIAL PURDUE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!!***

Absolute horse**** call, officials, rule. Change the ***damn rule yesterday

FVCK this crew, FVCK the targeting rule. This is an absolute JOKE! WHy even replay them? Just throw people out indiscriminately. FVCK it. CLEARLY shoulder to shoulder hit, zero head contact, call comes a full 20 seconds after the play. That is just total and complete bull****.

Wonder if they can appeal that to the B1G?

That was pretty much how you are taught to tackle and while I can see why some of the earlier calls against the Gophers were legit, this one clearly wasn't.

So you only coach them to hit below the waist? Because it appears that if you hit them in the chest it is now targeting.
Coaches don't know what the rule on targeting is and their players keep getting penalized.

So can the commissioners office change the decision on the targeting and take away the suspension for first half next game?

How awesome is that a total bull**** call costs us a starting LB for the first half against Nebraska and we lost Poock before that...****ing ridiculous.

Firstly he didn't even hit him in the head. Then the flag came in super late. Then they had the chance to review the call and the f**king confirmed it? That's just completely moronic. I hope they can appeal it, but I doubt it. Such bulls**t.

To be fair, no one really knows. It's called so inconsistently.

I'm 100% for the targeting rule and that was terrible. He hit him with his shoulder for God's sake. It was shoulder to shoulder. The replay for targeting in the Big Ten is ridiculous. Worst replay officials in history.

That bogus call took away so much from an enjoyable game.

Nebby-Gophers game Announcers for the big ten network who are they I predict Kevin Kugler Matt Millen and Lisa Byington on November 12. [emoji23]

Stupid coaching for not getting them to play to the stupid rules.

Nick Saban must be a bad coach then because his players do it all the time. Difference is the refs don't call it. One of their defenders just drilled a sliding QB in the head. No call.

If Nick Saban was in this conference he would get called the same as very one else. You have to play 6he game the refs let you play.

I can't find hard stats on our targeting penalties, but by my count we have a minimum of six this season. That seems awfully high and is damaging to our defense to lose a player for half a game. Add that to the restraining order issue and it is a discipline problem.

All of this is moot if the coaches take three knees instead of running the last TD play.

There was too much time left. They needed the first.
No they didn't.

On the TD play, the ball was snapped with 1:38 left. I did not see how much time was left on the play clock at the snap. But even if they take a knee then, the ball is snapped on 2nd down with 1 minute left, 3rd down with 23 seconds, and time expiring prior to 4th down.
