Agree completely with you. But we ran the ball on 3rd & 8. Seemingly just to make them burn a TO before we punted it back to them.

It never changes. Coaching scared.

Got bailed out by a Taylor run to give us an extra 3 pts before the half.

And then wasted time after getting that lucky 1st down

I cant get over that, in a close game, we left four potential points on the field because our coach is too stupid to know how a clock works. I watch a lot of football, I can't remember ever seeing a team run out of time when they got the ball with that much time and three timeouts.

And the clock stops on a first down.
 

Given the terrible start, it could have been a lot worse and I'm surprised it's as close as it is. Please don't throw to Smith much in the second half. He hasn't converted a target yet in this game.

I won't say that the defense has been great but they've been good enough to keep this a game at half and they had two take aways.

Nester has been fine but the defense is not. Purdue threw an INT cause they got stupid and ran a trick play. If they play it straight they score and are up 2 possession.

Smith hasn’t had a completion because they’re holding him and the refs aren’t calling it.
