We’ve got ourselves a BT winning streak!! Confidence is there, shots are falling, rebounding is better and smiles and high fives are back.

If we want to raise some legit eyebrows, let’s beat a ranked Ducks squad!

Hopefully The Barn is rocking, students back and the Squad is doing work.

GET ‘ER DONE JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stan ready to crash the boards 🥳

Ducks are 5-3 in conference. Oddly, they're 3-0 on the road while only 2-3 at home. Their conference schedule to date perhaps is a bit below average. The conference records of their opponents to date is 32-37 (Minnesota's conference opponents to date have an in-conference record of 43-25).

Their shooting overall in conference games is about middle of the pack (9th at .457) although their three-point shooting in conference games is good (4th at .354) and they've shot a lot of threes in conference games (22.6 per game, 6th). They're only 15th in conference games in getting to the line (18.3 free throw attempts per game) but they've done a good job while there (.753, 8th in the conference).

Despite being 5-3 they've been outscored in conference games (74.3 points per game scored vs. 76.1 points per game allowed). Mostly this can be explained by getting blown out by Illinois at home (32 point loss margin) while winning three conference games (Maryland, OSU, and PSU) by a total of 7 points.

Their hottest offensive player in conference games has been sophomore guard Jackson Shelstad who is averaging 16.8 in conference games, about 4 points per game more than his overall season average of 12.6. Their leading scorer for the season overall is 7 foot center Nathan Bittle at 13.6 points per game. He appears to be more of a stretch big man (maybe a bit in the Garcia mold) than an inside bull. He's shooting .394 from three in conference but only averages 6.5 boards per game in conference.

This just in: Ron Lee, Terrell Brandon, and Luke Ridnour have no eligibility remaining and won't be suiting up today. Also, Dick Harter will not be coaching the green and yellow.

However, this is a solid Duck squad and they still will have enough talent to take down a plucky Gopher squad by 6 at Williams Arena.

Looking at their analytics profile, these are the same points I'd use, too.

Given the continual beating he takes on this board, people will be surprised (and object based on eye-test) that Patterson is the second-best Gopher, and it's not particularly close. Even his shooting has picked up - when you filter the stats for conference-only, he's now in the "average" category (still below-average for the year). His best attribute, however, is that he does not turn it over much, especially as someone who handles the ball so much.

Patterson has been better the last few games but his efficiency is off the charts awful. He has taken 207 shots to score 206 points total. Horrid. I hope it gets better because there are redeeming aspects including his toughness and low turnover rate.

Has Ben won 3 conference games in a row as a player or a coach? Factor this into your wager.

Yes, just last year. He won the second of the two December conference games (Nebraska) and the first two conference games in January (Michigan and Maryland).

All the time that you spend on this board and it never occurs to you to do some research to make yourself at least a bit useful.

Maybe we could slip Pritchard, Dillon Brooks,Freddie Jones and Greg Ballard into the building. I was an undergrad during the Dick Harter and Kamakazie Kids days.
