The Purdue game we hung with for the first half and then we went to hell and a hand basket. This is a winnable game tonight. Ohio State has been very inconsistent this year with a few big wins and then a few games they haven't looked that good. At home, this is a game we definitely can and should get if we want to turn this season around.

It's hard to say what this team needs because I really don't know what we have. We have some aging parts, Dawson is really our only reliable threat on offense. We just need a win. Tonight can be the night. And a win spurs confidence and hopefully we build on it.

But it needs to start with a win, and that win needs to be tonight.

Purdue absolutely crushed Northwestern yesterday, was up 25 at halftime. We have hung with some pretty good teams, for parts of some games, including MSU, just can’t afford defensive lapses and scoring droughts. Obviously, need M Mitchell to score, and Patterson to shoot less. Need a complete game from everyone!

The only way Patterson shoots less is if he rides the pine more.

I don't disagree here, but he actually seemed effective against Purdue until later in the game when he started taking more shots. When he was playing within the offense for the first 30 minutes of the game he seemed a lot more efficient. Once he tried doing things on his own, that's when disaster hit. If he can find a way to be on the floor without trying to do so much, he might be able to help win a game or 2.

That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. They had the ball with 12 on the shot clock, we rebound it.... and the clock didn't reset so we force one up? Ha come on home clock!
 

Shot clock never reset after tOSU hit the rim and Dawson got the board, we came down the floor with a 12 second shot clock
