That was brutal.
There is absolutely no chance that Ben is back after that one. All doubt is erased. His 5 out, one on one offense got figured out by opposing coaches. They overplayed us and we can't beat anybody off the dribble. We have no action to combat it. Total crap basketball on both ends.
To be fair, people said the same thing after a loss to something called North Texas.
It's remarkable this squad won 6 B10 games
That was early in the season though and although things looked bleak there was still a chance to turn things around (even if the odds of it happening seemed slim). To be fair, people said the same thing after a loss to something called North Texas.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?Zero point Zero
Don't be obtuse... I hate reading outright lies. I read enough lies on a daily basis that I can't let this slide.Ben’s gonna need his fat little buddy Lavalle to write another article to plead for the state to keep paying him a couple million.
And then, for an encore, the Cats outscore us the rest of the game. The 10 point run by Northwestern to start the game was mind-boggling and inexcusable.
Yikes. When you make the Ben Boys mad, they come out swinging.Don't be obtuse... I hate reading outright lies. I read enough lies on a daily basis that I can't let this slide.
The State of Minnesota doesn't pay the salaries for coaches within the athletic department via the University. In fact, there was an article a few years back that clearly showed that that the athletic department pays the U about 3 times more than what it receives from the U... NOT including parking revenue generated for the U on game days.
Doesn't have the pull like Nepo Baby Eagle.I'm surprised daddy hasn't gotten Jac Collinsworth a better gig than NW at Minnesota on Peacock.
Some of that is definitely scheme but a lot of it was Hawkins leaving late after saying he was coming back and then not being able to find a great replacement. They had their point guard of the present to build to the pg of the future. Asuma may be very good at some point but he is still a true freshman making the jump from small town Minnesota basketball to the Big Ten.I actually feel bad for the student/athletes. They are putting all of the effort that it takes to win. It can’t be easy being on offense and wondering where the ball is going.
