If the gophers continue to settle for 3’s they will lose this game. Worst shooting team in the big ten and Nebraska will bait them into shooting 45 threes tonight
 

That has to be the easiest offensive foul call ever.
 




Everyone just standing around under the defensive boards - Carr, Curry just let their men go wherever they want. Definitely getting out hustled by a bad offensive team. Nebraska is driving to the bucket whenever they want. Robbins has to be smarter than to pick up two stupid fouls so early.
 


I know I'm beating a dead horse but watch Marcus Carr play defense/rebound on some of these possessions. He gets away with such carelessness. No box out, help D. I don't even think this is a knock on Marcus, its a perfect example of how Pitino coaches and the lack of accountability. Marcus is a very talented kid, but he's got these habits that top level coaches don't allow. It kills me to watch guys take possessions/plays off, especially on D. That's not how you coach at any level.

I don't care what the score finishes as tonight, it means nothing. Gotta prove it against competent teams and we haven't over 8 years.

Pretty sure all wins mean something - especially conference wins. Furthermore, they really mean something when you're on a 3-game losing streak.

Also, was the coaching equally bad when we beat 3 Top 10 teams this season?
 

I liked watching that bit of offense when Carr was out. Seems like the other guys new they had to step up.

Nebraska is really bad. Only real takeaway.

i do wonder how much better we’d be if Beilein was our coach. You can hear how differently he’d manage this team and work with the players. You can also tell he seeshow much talent this team has

I mean yeah? Coaching is a season long job. Inconsistency is a sign of poor coaching. You don't judge someone on singular games.

And I say this as someone who isn't even totally on the fire Pitino bandwagon.
 

Let Mashburn run the team. Let Carr sit. Maybe he'll locate his brain at halftime.

I'm not gonna argue this. 3 top 10 wins mean nothing if you don't finish down the stretch of the big 10 season. We have 3 top 10 wins and are barely sitting on the right side of the bubble. That screams inconsistency which is a great representation of the way players play under Pitino. Pick and choose the nights we wanna play. Pick and choose the possessions we wanna play.

Shooters gain confidence by seeing the ball go through the basket, whether its layups, FTs, or mid-range jumpers. Casting bricks from 20 feet isn't getting it done.
 

Was Gabe a good three point shooter in high school?

Iowa just got beat by Indiana for the 2nd time. What does that say about Fran?
 

Maybe Gabe's freshman year was an outlier and he's always been a sh*tty 3 point shooter.
