Friday night under the lights, national TV, Penn State's future coach on the sideline, a 5 game winning streak on the line, a true budding rivalry (I'll put MN/NEB as our 3rd biggest rival, sorry old-timers trying to hang on to Michigan), and a huge directional game as far as the way our season is going to go. The difference between 5-2 and 4-3 is big.

This is a good Nebraska team, better than previous years. And I'm still not sure if we're good yet. We can't fall behind like did against Rutgers and Purdue and continue to expect to pull thEse games out.

We MUST and I repeat, MUST, come out with energy and not flat like Purdue. We have to find some muscle in the trenches, we must win the turnover battle and we need to be ready to battle.

Kenny Chesney concerts or not, both coaches badly want to pummel each other.

GET 'ER DONE FLECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many times over the years have we had a team that we just knew was better than that year's wisconsin or iowa, and really believed we should win?

And in how many of those years did we have people here saying "well, until we beat them at their place..." etc. etc.

We have a 5 game winning streak against them.
We are at home.
We are in prime time on a Friday night.
They have not beaten a proven good team yet.

They are not going to beat us at our place.

I’ve been salty towards Nebraska since 9/17/83. I was at the Dome and watched the 84-13 destruction. Dad and I stayed to the end and I vowed that I’d relish every future win against them. 84, 89, 90, 2011, 2012…nope.

2013 I was finally rewarded with that W. We played so well that day. I loved it and I still love every dang time we beat them! It never gets old.

We need to raise our game tomorrow to win. OL and DL need to be tough. Whole team needs to play physical with no mistakes. Need that ground game to finally get going. Let’s get this W! I want to fire up You Tube late tomorrow night to see Corn Nation guy absolutely despondent with another loss to the Gophers. Glory be to the Maroon and Gold! RTBSUMGG!

The Gopher Oline should honor Greg Eslinger by playing their best game of 2025 against Nebraska. They have been taking a lot of guff for being soft and not physical. Friday night against a ranked Nebraska team they need to play with a chip on their shoulders, come together and play their best game. Time to play relentless for 60 minutes Gophers. We always owe them for 1983 even if that season was in a galaxy far away.

Was 2013 the ESPN national game when the announcers were saying how proud we should be to beat them and we were not really in their class and what a huge upset? F those F'ers.

I don’t remember that but I was at the game and not watching on tv. I remember Kill was in the press box and that Limegrover did some un-Limegrover things with the offense. I was surprised and I think NE was too.

The last time Minnesota played Nebraska when Huskers were ranked No. 25 in the AP Poll:
