***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS UNLV SO CAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Serious question. What is a good matchup for this team?

Shouldn’t their lack of height and length also be an advantage to us? Height at every position is clearly the direction Ben wanted to go with this roster, so why shouldn’t this be a strength for us to exploit?
The answer depends on what we are trying to accomplish. If the answer is to win games...as a whole our non-conference schedule offers that.
If the answer was to make us better the fastest...then we needed to schedule better teams to force us to get better to compete or lose bad and learn.
Big Ten, there probably aren't too many good matchups.
More specific to question...I don't know...Battle has only played one game, Carrington only a couple and without seeing them practice as a team knowing how they hope to play it is tough to know how they view their strengths.
If we gain an advantage tonite getting their two best players in foul trouble...it seems our strength is Payne inside. Establish him. Drive to the hoop, (Henley, Cooper) don't avoid contact and draw fouls. Go inside out and pass out to hit threes from Carrington, Battle, Garcia, Thompson. That seems like what we could be good at.

Looks like we’ll miss the start live.

This is where it was easily available Monday:

UNLV is experienced, has multiple transfers from Power-5 schools, and beat Dayton last week. Gophers need to be ready and focused for this one. What I want to see tonight...

1) Better flow on offense
2) Garcia to be more assertive
3) Hit 65% or better free throws
Dayton might be overrated, bucky held them to 42 points

Drink every time our announcers mention hair, either facial, head-of, or pubic.

rough start. then again, the 15-0 start last game was prettyn, meaningless…

Battle isn’t scoring at the pace he was last year, yet. but man he seems to be all over the floor. the team obviously needs him.

Offensive rebounds and FT's still killing us.

Jamison Battle will be starting, second game in a row.
We will find out how good he is in the next couple of weeks, or if he was just the best player on a poor team, where someone , even on a poor team scores the most points.

Nice rally. They tried to foul Payne by grabbing his jersey and he just fought through it like it was nothing. Stronger than Oturu I think.
