And here we are, back in the post-season!! What used to be automatic, is apparently a cause for celebration around these parts. Lots of intrigue, Ben vs the school he left to attend MN. Ben, probably 24 hours away from losing his job or receiving the most thinly veiled "endorsement" in Gopher history.

If Ben wants to save his job, go win 5 games. It's been done before. It's up to him to find the magic.

So sorry to be the bringer of bad news but Northwestern for whatever reason has had our number for about the last 20 years. I see no reason why they won't today. Gophers lose this one and we get on with decisions about next season.

It's been inexplicable to me. We've had teams that should have beat up on them like they're 3rd graders yet we've found new and frustrating ways to lose. Until the Gophers turn that around for a few years it's hard to think they'll win.

Gophers are 6-2 against Northwestern in the Big Ten Tournament.
 

Let's just hope the court surface is easier on the eyes than the Big 12 Tournament court.

That's because Weakling Wednesday used to be worst case scenario. Now there is something worse possible.

And I don't know that anyone is celebrating just making the conference tournament but in general fans are glad the team managed to do enough to avoid missing the conference tournament.

Holy crap that is terrible. I had to look it up to make sure that wasn't some photo shopped image. Not a huge fan of all the crazy court looks these days....some are kind of cool but more often not they end up being distracting.

That is way worse then the white court and I hated the white court (at least until they finally added the thick maroon boarder around the outside).

I'm not a season ticket holder but I know that if I was it would be really hard to get excited about shelling out the money to renew the tickets for next year and there is nothing I have seen this year that makes me want to go out and become a season ticket holder for next year.
 

At this point, I can't bring myself to care about this game. Just get it over with so we can either be pleasantly surprised by our AD growing a spine and get a new coach or resign to this being a dead program and move on.
