***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS NEW MEXICO RATE BOWL, LONGEST BOWL WINNING STREAK IN BT HISTORY IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wherever PJ ranks in the head coaching salary in the conference we have at least that much for assistant coaches too. We’ve all seen how much money Fitzgerald has been able to spend up at Michigan State wine in God‘s name would they have more money to spend than us?
You can’t just make up how it works. Also Fleck ranked 12th for this year.

Have you seen how much money has been pumped into the school by Magic Johnson alone. Maybe Kevin McHale will do that for us someday?

Maybe we will kick our A.D. in the ass, teach him to speak English effectively and bring us closer to the Joneses then that’s his responsibility. Otherwise, he will have to rob Peter to pay Paul to get better assistant coaches and he can certainly do that. There’s plenty of money coming in the door. PJ specifically chose these two knuckleheads and money had nothing to do with it.

Funny to come here and read the game thread...."the defense sucks..." "fire the d coordinator"....blah blah blah....
The D did not allow a touchdown. Is that good enough?

He has access to several million dollars more in assistant coaching dollars than he’s using right now. Why would you pay guys more than they deserve? One of our guys was living in a closet five years ago for Gods
sake he should be thinking his lucky stars were paying him the 750 K that we are.

Continuing to post untrue stuff isn't going to make it true.

We’ve been near the bottom of the conference in assistant coach budget every year for decades. Nothing has changed.
In 2025, I believe we paid our "Co-OCs" (Harbaugh and Simon) a total of $1.24M (640K + 600k). Sometimes two heads are better than one ... sometimes not.
I believe Heatherington was scheduled for about $1.25M before he decamped. Collins was on the books, I think, at just under $500K before he was elevated to DC. Can't believe Collins made more than $750,000 this year, in which case he was kind of a bargain.

I’m happy we won. I just dislike how painful it was to get there. Another shitty game to watch which makes all but two this year.
It wasn't as shitty a game as you portray. Really. Reflect on Anthony Smith's dominant game ... on Jalen Smith's incredible TD catches ... on Maverick Baranowski's incredible game (16 tackles, 12 solo) ... on DT's big runs ... and on some of the big-time throws that Drake made (among, admittedly, some clunkers). The odds makers had this game at a 1.5 to 2.5 point spread for a reason. New Mexico is a good team.

This wasn't a dominant win, and our STs yet again dug a hole for the team. But the Gophers won. This year's team has some real weak points. OL never quite gelled in the run game. Little usable depth at RB. Lots of deadwood in the WR room. Interior DL was spotty. CBs were challenged when Nestor not on the field. And our kicker, despite having Kesich-like leg strength, couldn't make a FG beyond 40 yards. Yet the Gophers won 8 games, through grit and mental toughness. I will remember the 2025 team as a very resilient team. It never gave up, and it made a lot of big plays when needed.

Agree. I would fire the STs coordinator first. Once we took the lead, why didn’t we kick it deep in the endzone (as we normally do)? Denanberg certainly has the leg. Why did we kick to the Lobo’s superstar kick returner? Nobody came near to touching him on the return. That run back was the only touchdown allowed all game. And twice in the 4th Q we punted from doable FG range because PJ justifiably doesn’t trust our kicker’s accuracy beyond 40 yards. STs continues to be an anchor around the team’s neck,
