This game was a success for the nonpartisan viewers. I watch a fair number of games in a season where I don't care who wins. I just want a close game and this one went to overtime.

I get it. It’s a losing argument with you knuckleheads but if you look at the resumes of our coordinators compared to the rest of the Big Ten coordinators, it’s a fucking joke. PJ hired these two knuckleheads because he knew they would do what he told them and probably stick around for a while so he wouldn’t have to go out and hire his 60th and 61st new assistant coaches in 9 years.

What did KC and Rossi make in their last year’s here? That’s the absolute bottom of what we’re able to pay and we continue to get more money from the conference every year.

A couple of my Bulldog buddies in Atlanta congratulated the Gophs as Rate Bowl Champions. So I know at least 2 other people watched. I texted back "Go Dogs" with a little more enthusiasm.

Defense started slow, but played well overall. Held NMex to FGs on two early drives; then NMex's offense was done for the game.
On offense, DT played well; Jalen Smith played well--two very athletic TD catches. Drake was iffy; if you are QB who can't add value by running, you gotta see the field better. But Drake came through in the end. OL is not without individual talent, but the Gophs really need a fresh start there next year. My personal feeling is that PJ needs to obsess a bit less on giantism and place a bit more emphasis on OL athleticism.
Special teams was yet again a net negative contributor. So weird how this is true in so many of PJ's games. New FG kicker next year, which most of GH will welcome.
Still, this was an 8-5 season and, given where the Gophers have been over the years, it is a result that will make me happy ... in a few more days ... when I stop thinking about our offense.

We’ve been near the bottom of the conference in assistant coach budget every year for decades. Nothing has changed.

Wherever PJ ranks in the head coaching salary in the conference we have at least that much for assistant coaches too. We’ve all seen how much money Fitzgerald has been able to spend up at Michigan State wine in God‘s name would they have more money to spend than us?

See I think a lot of you guys on here that are PJ apologists felt like even if you went home with the ugliest girl from the dance at least you went home with a girl. This year was ugly.
