***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Cool…do the Gophers get a better draft pick if they lose today?
Honestly seems like what people are angling for. I get the thought process, but that's counterproductive to being a fan. You don't want Coyle firing Ben to be an easy decision, but you don't want it late either though. You want to give yourself a chance to get one of the better coaching candidates

Well, hats off to that lineup for at least maintaining over that stretch. I was wondering who would score from that group but they got some baskets.

Can his ass! Worst four year stretch in program history! Coyle should follow him out the door!

Is that better?
I understood your point about the draft pick analogy. Is one (1) relatively meaningless game worth more than the future overall health of the program? Not to me.

I'm cheering for the Gophers but any scenario that may result in another season with Ben is far more devastating than a singular loss IMO. I don't have to trade in my Gopher "fan card" for attempting to look at the bigger picture.

Nice couple last calls d-bag officials. A non double dribble and then some BS rebound call on Garcia.
Can you imagine Izzo on those?

Three terrible calls against us this half. The Martini foul- not called. The Fox double dribble that wasn't and the Garcia call. Wow. We are playing badly, but the zebras are certainly helping Rutgers.

These refs have been absolute fucking dog shit. And that's the nicest way to put it

I don't bitch about officiating but holy shit, have the Gophers got one questionable call go their way???

Terrible effort by the Gopher against a poor defensive team.

And it's not just the really bad calls. It's the 50/50 calls that are tilted heavily in Rutgers favor so far.

Yeah I’m not one to complain about the refs; but, this is on a different level!

I agree that the calls have been lopsided but this is a do or die moment for this team and coach. If they don't come back in the second half, they will have lost four of their last five regular season games (just like last season) and finish with an overall losing record. Can't think of a good reason not to make a change under those circumstances.

More Rigsby and Asuma....and less Mitchell Jr. in the second half. He's had like a two month cold streak going.....and despite trying to shoot his way out of the slump....it's not working.
I don't see how he can continue to play Mike Mitchell. He's just awful. He can't shoot and he looks just lost out there. I hope he has a great second half, but for a guy who was supposed to be our second option he has been miserably bad. I am not buying the "he's playing injured" angle. He moves fine.

Let's see if Ben thinks that this game is important enough to start a different 5 in the 2nd half. I bet no. Fox and Mike M should not be starting. Femi has been bad this game as well.
There is no reason Frank hasn't started the past dozen games. Other than the coaches stubbornness.
