There aren't many games on the schedule that offer a shot at a road conference win. Tonight is one of the rare few. It won't be easy as PSU is improving and we're, well, 6-8, but if we play like we did against MSU, we should have a shot. We gotta get hot from 3-point land and limit turnovers like the Saturday game. If we do those two, we should be in a position to win.

GET 'ER DONE PITINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Gophers proved against MSU they can succeed with defensive effort, even if they don't shoot great from 3. Need to just play hard and give the ball to Murph.

We need to steal this one tonight. Wins are at a premium.

Don't like seeing Murphy pick up a foul so early, but decent start otherwise.

I think there were more people in attendance at that Kentucky-Georgia SEC championship game a few years ago when the tornado hit downtown Atlanta. Brutal for a Big 10 team.

Damn. Two on Murphy 5 minutes in.

Threw some money on the Gophers at +220, think there is a lot of value in that number.

McBrayer has made 3 nice plays already.

After looking at the number of people showing up at Happy Valley, I cannot complain about attendance at the Barn. I guess the statement, "Build it and they will come" does not apply in Happy Valley.

Let's stop trying to drive and dish to Konate/Diedhou...

Too many turnovers but the guys are playing hard. Defense is getting better.

And again. 3 turnovers trying to throw it to the stone-hand twins tonight. Stop already. Troy Williamson had better hands.

3 passes inside to Bakary and 3 turnovers are the result. On the one hand, a team should pass the ball inside sometimes but one can understand the reluctance.

Almost everyone else is playing well. Just play Murphy til he fouls out...

Mason needs to shoot more of those mid range jumpers. Seems to make almost all of them.

Love the energy tonight, but our centers are patently incompetent.

Buggs in at center. Thank God. I've wanted to see that for awhile.

I hope he plays the centers VERY sparingly for the rest of the game and plays Buggs instead.

Buggs playing well - rebounding, passing.

Ugh. Pitino caught on camera stressing to King that he should shoot, and he's had two selfish plays since.

I wouldn't say selfish. But the long 2 was ill-advised.

Nice game so far from Buggs. Good to see that kind of response after sitting a game.

I guess we can thank the centers for playing poorly enough that Pitino had little choice but to let Buggs out of the doghouse.

I have no idea why Pitino doesn't go to Buggs as the backup for Konate more often - rather than Gaston who clearly is not ready yet. Buggs adds a scorer who can rebound.
