The only players on the roster that he didn't bring in are Asuma, Grove, and Shinholster so I think he must of tried to bring in "his type of players." Unfortunately, injured players aren't anyone's type of players.
A bright spot from all this injury misfortune is that the seven players we likely have for the rest of the year (I'm assuming that JCJ will be able to go again in the near future) have played together a lot now and probably are more in-sync than they might have been with a full roster. The biggest bright spot is the continuing progress of Grayson Grove who may not have had this much of an opportunity without the injuries.
