Was there a more Gopher sequence ever than Mason missing the transition layup to tie the game (not that easy of a look really) and then Ohio State trying to turn the ball over but it hitting the player in the perfect spot of the back that it doesn't go out of bounds, doesn't carom to a Gopher player, or doesn't roll down his back and off his foot...it just gently hits his back and he turns around and picks it up.
Bakary and Reggie both had pretty easy 3 point play opportunities that garnered a grand total of 2 points. They both missed the point blank layup/dunk and went 1-2 from the line. Reggie and Jordan combined to miss at least 3 times inside 3 feet during crunch time. Bakary took a ridiculous 3 with the Gophers down 4....and the lead would balloon back out after that point. The defense on the interior was terrible with tOSU's center scoring a career high. If the bigs were even mediocre on both ends of the floor or better than that on one end of the floor that would have been enough for a win.
Credit to Pitino for getting a good look for Springs to tie the game.
Nice to see Nate Mason knock down some shots, but it might be too little too late as that's four L's in a row.
