It's no surprise that Michigan lost to Duke over the weekend as they likely were looking past the Blue Devils towards our game on Tuesday night!

Now with a renewed focus and urgency to get back on the winning side, and knowing they are playing a team coming off two straight wins, they will not take us for granted.

One thing we know, the effort will be there. The depth and the talent may not be on par, but the effort will.

Why not us?

GET 'ER DONE MEDVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Upset seems unlikely but way this season has gone anything is possible at this point. Here's hoping the Iron 6, or whatever the heck we are calling them, can find a way to shock the world.

With a win, Michigan secures at least a share of the B1G title. Expect the Wolverines to come out with a vengeance. But, we play the game and hope for the best. Illinois and Michigan are giant in the post. Grayson, Cade, and Bobby will be extremely undersized. Somehow we have to keep Michigan from dominating the blocks and make them beat us from outside. However, our boys may be facing the best defense they have gone against this season. A win on Tuesday would be the equivalent of watching Kevin James free climb El Capitán. 🤔 😅

That's not what I am saying (although that may be your view). I am saying that Michigan is far superior to our Gophers and the chances of winning at Chrisler are much smaller than the chances the 1980 USA Hockey team had of beating the Soviets in the Olympics. It's fact, not excuse or wishful dreaming. But, we play the game and even though Kevin James would have better odds of free climbing El Capitán, our boys in Maroon and Gold will go give it a try to beat the Maize & Blue. If, by virtue of a Miracle, we win, I suggest that every Gopher fan there should storm the court and plant the Minnesota flag at center court.

Michigan's top 3 offesive players this season go 6'9", 6'9" and 7'3" and all are at least 240 lbs. I will be shocked if they don't attack Grove right from the opening whistle and try to get him in foul trouble early.

Fully healthy this is still a brutal matchup but with JCJ, Vaihola and Turner out of commission we simply don't have the size to contend with this Michigan team. Going to have to shoot the lights out to have any chance at all.

Wish we could activate John Thomas and Courtney James. Maybe Miles Tarver for some toughness......does anyone know if Mark Olberding could be available?
