First half was great at uw, second half was a fn disaster. At this point the goal really is to keep a road Big Ten game within 10-12, as sad as that is at this point. Just awful.

But maybe, just maybe, for once we play well for 40 minutes and win a game. Just once.

GET 'ER DONE JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, this team is bad but the schedulers haven''t done the team any favors with this front-loaded schedule. This week features another formidable pair: Maryland and Michigan.

If you take the seven conference teams we will have played through the end of this week, the average Pomeroy ranking of those is 24.14. Five of those teams are ranked within the Top 25 by Pomeroy, Ohio State is 32, and Indiana is 56.

The remaining 10 teams that we will not have played have an average ranking of 50.6. Only Illinois and Oregon are ranked within the Top 25. I still have some doubt that this team will be winless in conference. The rest of the conference season after this week provides better opportunities for wins.

That'll be the next story from Marcus Fuller in the Star Tribune: "Poor Ben! The B1G Schedulers are very mean."

I have no idea what the Vegas line for the game is but put me down for Maryland.

Tonight, we continue the big pinch.

Both games this week should be rough. Both teams have formidable front court players (Maryland: Queen and Reese; Michigan: Goldin and Wolf). We've seen multiple times already how this team is overwhelmed by talented front courts.

Well one good thing maybe. Most will be boozy already pre partying for the Vikings game, maybe they won’t notice the supposed basketball game on the tv beforehand.

Maryland is very good at causing turnovers and not turning it over themselves. Rebounding is above average on both ends of the court. They also play a lot better at home.

They are also #1 in the country in not getting their shots blocked, for whatever that’s worth.

I’m not finding a lot of rays of hope.

KenPom has Maryland #22. They are in the next five in AP top 25. Hard to see Gophers first win coming tonight or at home against Michigan on Thursday.

Cmon man, we have the conference's best forward in Garcia, likely player of the year in the Big Ten over Braden Smith according to some here on the GH. :)

This team would be overwhelmed by talented student managers.

I'm thinking more of a solar oven, and we're going to be baked to a crisp.

tonight's game is on BTN. in the Twin Cities, it might get some viewers who are killing time before the Vikings game, but at 7pm, the share of TV sets in the TC market watching the Gophers will be less than 1%. and that is not a joke. there may not be 100 people actually watching on TV after kickoff.

I'm missing this one. I have a meeting to attend at 6pm, and will be scrambling to get home in time for the Vikings.

(had a personal milestone last week. in connection with something I can't discuss, I had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. unfortunately, it's not the type that comes with any money in return.......)

It better come with something. If there’s no consideration for it it may be invalid. Emphasis on “may.”
