***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT CAL BATTLE OF THE “GOLDENS” GOLD-OUT IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

We will not play another team like this except for Oregon this season.

We are hunkered down at the Billds for the 2nd half.

We'll see what the young D Coordinator can dial up. Mr. Perich is just being overmatched so far. He needs to step it up too.

Nice to see Geers make that catch too. Very important. Literally said to Mrs. Billd where's Geers (?) and that happened. Made me feel good.

Will have to watch the guy coming off the targeting disqualification in the 2nd half...

Somebody brought up last year's UCLA game as a reason for not worrying too much because we were behind 10-0 at half in that one. To be behind by only 3 after how badly we played early in the game is somewhat of a relief. Cal seems better than UCLA last year but UCLA outgained us significantly in that one too.

I think I'm most disappointed with the play of the DBs so far.

Cal QB is a talent. Giving up the field goal drive to end the half was disappointing. Hopefully the Gophers will have their legs under them and play much better in the second half like they did at UCLA last year.

So far, slow start just like UCLA last year.

Yeah D Line looks good. Back of the D looks lost.

Yeah, it's only three points but if not for some drops or their own mistakes a true freshman QB is carving up our defense.

We need to establish a running game again, had a great drive and then threw it away with a goofy trick play.

He’s a talent, but he also has barely been pressured and receivers are running wide open. Not a great combo.

It's like the universe makes every game in California be a struggle for Minnesota. Game Vs. USC in 2011, 2016 Holiday Bowl, 2019 Vs. Fresno State, 2024 Vs. UCLA, all decided less than a TD. 😩

Might explain our D struggles if that is the case and why I'm seeing more Gousby.
Has anybody seen him on the field??? Maybe, just maybe the announcers might want to mention that as we give up 700000 passing yards???

That camera work on the first play of the second half defines WTF.
