***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT #1 OHIO STATE LET'S SHOCK THE WORLD IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Hey texass tech had a similar score and won. I'm feeling it. C'mon Gophs.
The other me then telling this me "shut up idiot"

Ohio State can buy top teams indefinitely now with NIL, players being paid by schools, and transfer at any time. The rich get richer, the poor will get poorer - and Minnesota will not be among the rich. Coaches also will move to the better teams because that is where the big money will be and the best shot at playoffs and national championships. The game is being ruined, and as it is with almost every other major problem in the US, Congress will do nothing - while the NCAA has been neutered.

SHOCK. THE. WORLD.

That is the objective, that is the opportunity. Put this program on the fn map with a win at The Shoe, on national prime time TV, under the lights. It happens, not often, but it does happen. It may take a perfect game from us and an abysmal game from them, but why not us, why not now?

Can't play 3 yards and cloud of dust. Can't get FGs inside the 10. Can't turn the ball over. Have to take their big play punches and a couple of bad calls from the officials. We must overcome it all. We must be perfect. But I believe.

SHOCK. THE. WORLD.

GET 'ER DONE FLECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!!

I don’t think it should be that way. But it is that way because of television and the importance of having the best teams in the playoffs. The talent differential is enough for Ohio State to beat us, probably pretty easily, but the calls and non-calls should bemake it a certainty.

Yeah, except for the small handful of blue bloods, college football is really a competition to see who's the next best. It's damn near impossible to go against the former champion and #1 contender on the road. It requires not only beating the team, but also beating the refs and a huge stadium of fans.

You'll see a fair game MI vs OSU, but not MN vs OSU. That kind of upset can't happen.

Better players, much better coaches. PJ came out like a house a fire then turtles like always. It’s just not that though our schemes don’t allow us to compete. Am I nuts or did we run from behind center a lot earlier in the year. Our run schemes particularly short yardage awful.

I’m not a big conspiracy guy, but with such a money grab going on these days it makes sense conferences would protect their top teams.

Name them? They've beaten a #1 ranked school?
Glen Mason knocked off #2 Penn State at Penn State.

UCLA knocked off #7 Penn State today. With a new coach.

Cignetti has done pretty well with Indiana who has not had anywhere near the talent level as the top teams.

Appalachian State knocked off Michigan at the Big House.

It can be done. It is not easy.

The Gophers are out if their league tonight, but the did come out swinging. We don't have a coaching staff that can out coach opponents. We don't have the players. That said, we tried tonight. We just failed.

Look at Phillip Daniels. PJ recriuted him as a 3 star. Developed into a starter. Transfered to OSU to be in the Bowl Championship Series. Blue Bloods have all the advantages.

Finding and developing players and finding really good coaches and coordinators is the way to get to the next level. Unless we somehow get more NIL funds, out recruiting teams isn’t going to happen until we can string some big seasons together.
Better, more experienced coordinators might be the best strategy to move the needle some.

I believe they would kick a field goal. Go for it we’re getting our asses kicked.
