Demir hands it off to the other team just for good measure. He is so bad it’s almost comical.
 








I’ve done with this team. They don’t play basketball well. They can’t shoot from outside, they have one of the best players in the conference and seem to forget about him, they can’t shoot free throws, they aren’t well coached, their bench is disturbingly shallow, and they frankly bore the crap out of me. I’ve been a Pitino supporter, but that’s over. He needs to go and this program badly needs to be refreshed. Gopher basketball...wash, rinse, repeat. Sigh.
 

Pretty much the nail in the coach. It is too bad I like the guy but he is just not getting it done. They don’t play hard at all and they could care less if they get beat in their own gym. Kind of embarrassing

Don’t underestimate them. The few of them that are the most vocal are still convinced Pitino is on the verge of greatness. All he needs is a few more years.
 

Hopefully tonight works like one of those healthy forest fires.

We had a better basketball program when MN produced a D1 ball player every 8 years.

Pitino should have been fired a long time ago....Cant say i am upset it will finally happen.....This program can and should do better

They played very tight, then lose all poise down the stretch as a result. But the blonde ref was atrociou. He should be called into the big ten office and forced to watch that game 3 times before they let him have his whistle back.
 

Sad to see. Wow. It really looked like they gave up tonight in the 2nd half. It seems like - after the season - it's time for a change. Best hope is that Oturu gets more 2nd round projections than 1st and comes back for a year.

My only issue with you was that your timing is off. The time to talk is after we have done all we can to support the team during the season. That, my friend, is drawing to a close.

He does have a son on the football team. And maybe he didn't like what he's seen/heard about the state of Gopher hoops.
 

Darrell Thompson's status with the Gopher football media team should be evaluated. Doesn't seem right to be sitting in the stands rooting against the Gophers. He should no better. Race should have gone to a non big 10 team.

This has been a strange season. We had some nice wins, e.g. Purdue and Wisconsin, but then we've had some ugly wins. Overall, this program is not progressing, despite 7 years of Pitino's coaching. When you are getting paid the money he is, you have to win or get fired. It is time that he gets fired and a new coach come in and try and make his or her mark on the team. I'm done with Pitino.

No. Not at all. My whole point all year has been that actual fans will let the season play out and cheer for the best outcome. Not wait for losses and come to gloat. Pretty simple. Anybody who is enjoying seeing "their team" lose to say "see, I told you he sucked" is not any kind of fan. There is literally zero argument around that fact.

This is true for many gopher fans!

Why is this so hard for people like you? What exactly makes you not connect these dots?

Oh, and I can pull up threads with you and others saying I told you so with this season. I will spare you the embarrassment though.
