Official "I Rushed The Court When We Beat #1 Indiana" Thread!!

That was as good as it gets in the Barn. I was in the student section like three rows up so i rushed and was able to get right up to all the players. I never want to tear that place down. The Barn was deafening loud i woke up this morning and my ears are still ringing.

Go Gophs

I'm too old to make the floor. You young kids woulda trampled me! :) That is what the Barn is supposed to be like. It's how I remember going to one of my first games. The best atmosphere in years. It all started with Trevor and his warrior yells!

I was really proud of the students last night. I didn't see any instances of rudeness even to the Hoosier faithful.

This is what its all about.

I hope they never tear down the Barn, I don't care if it costs twice as much money as building a new arena.

We got something special in that building and last night was an example of it.

I agree wholeheartedly. I love the Barn, its my favorite venue in College Basketball.

Now, hopefully, gazillions of you young pups will understand the meanings of what history is regarding The Barn to us old farts. Well said westcoastgopher. Thank you, my friend. THE BARN, FOREVER!!!

Awesome stuff. I am really happy for the student, but also the long time season ticket holders who FINALLY got to experience something like this. I can't even remember the last time the Gophers won a home game as an underdog and for those of you who loyally buy your tickets and go to all/most games every year, you absolutely deserved to be on that court last night.

For what it's worth, the Barn sounded AMAZING on TV last night, and I had just seen a great crowd at Hilton Coliseum for ISU/KU the night before and the Barn sounded better. Dakich/Tirico immediately laughed about getting nearly trampled by a 70 year old storming the court (I am sure the pic from Tirico's twitter is posted somewhere on the site) and what a great representation of the "U" by students and general fans alike.

I was really surprised to hear the fans as in to it from the start as they were considering the circumstances. It was perhaps more impressive that the crowd stayed with the team despite a couple times where the game clearly looked like it was slipping away. I don't think many programs get a crowd like that after losing 8 of 11 and playing terrible basketball during that stretch. Congrats to all of you who contributed to making that environment what it was last night.

Amazing how we just needed a few days to shake off the OSU debacle and realize that, if we stopped feeling sorry for ourselves, there was this opportunity coming up. That sounds like the process the players must have gone through, but it's also the same process the fans went through. Not that we won the game or anything, but the crowd did hold up our end of things.

I was in the upper deck in '89 for the Illinois as #1 game but don't remember a court rush-- was there one?

Nice to see everybody stepped away from the ledge and there is no one calling for Tubby's head...for now. All is good in Gopherhole!
