Kicking the FG was one of the 2 worst calls I've seen Kill make at MN. That was absolutely awful! What happened to rolling the dice a little bit??? And where the hell is Croft???

Like I said before, this Coaching staff is the most stubborn staff in the B10, not to mention they are the most conservative/chicken staff also. There is no excuse for this loss, Nebraska is on the down, and we're playing at home... and we pretty much got man-handled. Kicking a field goal instead of going for it was stupid, you need two scores and a field goal still means u need two more scores... what's the point?
 

Jeez Leidner. Come on staff. That's it. The season is over. Play Croft and build the future of the program.
 

Go get the chair, Nebraska.

I think kicking the field goal there was "rolling the dice" more than going for it. Recovering onside kicks is extremely hard to do. Plus that field goal still kept it at a two possession game. It was probably the most bizarre decision I've seen Kill make (and he's made some weird decisions in the past).
 

Glad the Nebraska fans came along... their cheers over took the Gopher fan's boos.
 

Gotta give credit to Mike Reilly and Nebraska. The kids obviously like him and want to play for him. I really wish they wouldn't have sh%t it against WI last week.

I'm already looking to next year, where we don't start against the #2 team and @CSU guaranteeing
a team riddled with injuries... please, back to the cupcakes and rutgers/maryland.

CSU is not a good team.
 


I am at a loss for words....what happened to our defense?? They looked like they were in slow motion all game long. The db's looked like they had never had receivers run routes on them before. It was weird....not what we normally see. Worst defensive performance in the last two years for sure.

Everyone just looked like they were gassed from the get go. Almost like the entire team was out until 4am last night. Nobody on defense played with energy. The D-line just stood up, got not penetration. Richardson was non-existent.

Why didn't Campbell play much in the first half?

That is a different take on how injuries happen. It all depends on who you play.

Looks like I'm the only one who was on board for the FG. A FG turns it into a two possession and WIN game, and factoring in the odds of converting 4th and long and then getting a TD versus the odds of getting three points on the FG - the FG was the best choice IMO. I didn't want us to onside, either.
 

I'm discouraged. I don't see how we can beat any team that has a competent offense unless we magically get all our defensive injuries fixed. I'm not even using that as an excuse, because it's the coaching staff's job to have the backups ready. We are in serious trouble... I don't see how we can beat Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Ohio State. We should be able to beat Illinois though. I hope I'm wrong but it looks like the season is over.
