***OFFICIAL GOPHERS VS HOOSIERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I hate to say it, but you have been absolutely right about Indianas ability to shoot lights out.

In addition to being a Minnesota fan, I'm also an Indiana grad and have watched all their televised games this season. I've seen it happen quite a few times.

Lethal when shooting well. Can shoot themselves into quite the hole when they aren't.

If Indiana was making 3's at a 40% clip, this would be a 2 point game.

Games like this happen when you face a team with superior speed, better athleticism and very good shooters. Indiana is simply a better basketball team in just about every phase. Play this one out and get ready for the next game because we're completely outmatched here.

Don't think anyone questioned their ability to shoot. But when we allow them to stay in their offense all evening, while we continue with a D that isn't working....pretty much gives them the game. At least they have way more to's than we do. Rebounds are horrific on our part, due to our D set.

I actually figured this game would be close. Indiana is all offense and no defense, I figured Minnesota's defense would have way more of an effect. Plus Indiana has no size, but since the rebounding is 34-16 in favor of Indiana that apparently has no consideration

Mathieu shouldn't be taking threes. His line drive rocket shot gives him zero room for error accuracy wise.

No. Because they'd have gotten the rebound on half of the misses at least. It might be a 6-8 point game.

It's not just Indiana's perimeter shooting that is killing us. Their quickness and athleticism at almost every position is also a major contributor.

The point is, with any sport, it's often a game of inches. This could easily be going differently.

They are an absolutely terrible matchup for us if they are shooting 60% from three. Those expecting us to change defenses, to what?!? This is our gophers for the next year and a half, get used to it and try not being so goddamn morbid.

Agreed. That is a big part of the reason they are getting so many quick perimeter shots.

There is nothing you can do about that. That was good defense.

Screw Crean. Pitino should have done the blow by hand shake.

Nothing to be ashamed of there. The other team makes 18 threes. Hats off. On to the next game.

Rebounding has been a huge issue. That said, many of their three point misses have had a lot of bounce, ideal for offensive rebounds. We got killed tonight on the scoreboard, but if we box out just a little better, the shots fall a little less, the bounce from the rim is a little shorter, we could be talking about a win. Indiana deserves the win, but they're not 19 points better, not even close.

I honestly thought we played pretty well tonight. But Indiana probably would've beat any team in the country with the way they played. Not much to hang your head about after that loss. Just gotta move onto the next one and get a win.

hats off to Indiana. shooting the lights out is an understatement

18-32 from beyond the arc.

Thank God that's over. Now we've had our worst loss. Hopefully we can stay closer with Wisconsin.

This is said way to often on this board.

Looks like 7-11 and another NIT bid.....Disappointing to not make the tourney again, but at least it wasn't a complete disaster like Nebraska this year. Need some athletic play-makers Richard....Two years from now will be the deadline.

You don't think they would've? When you make 18 three pointers, tell me a team that could overcome that. Sometimes, it's okay to give credit to the other team for playing well, it's not always that we played bad.
