Ugly first half. Ugly loss. Let's have one ugly post game thread.

9th place in the big ten. Fire Flubby. Does anything more need to be said?

If you would have told we we would score 73 points and Dre would have 24 pts and 9 assists i think we win by double digits

Why only 1 thread?

# of threads should = # of horrific losses.

Dre had an awesome game. Love that kid. He played awesome.

Just brutal. This team is depressing to watch. It's frustrating because we're not even getting upset by in the sense of a bad opponent playing extremely well against us. We're simply playing like crap and getting beaten by bad teams on the road. Nebraska didn't play that great of a game -- we just played terrible. Today, no defense at all. Ug.

Same $%%^, different day. Twins opener in 23 days.

Probably not. I'll still hold out until the season is over because there is no chance he is fired before then but unless we make a run in the tournament, I'm done with him.

89 Points To Purdue

I was thinking Tubby was a defensive coach?

Folks, the leadership on this team - the coach - appears to be the problem. These kids are deflated, just look at them. Getting blown out vs Purdue within 6-8 minutes of the tip.

Purdue played really well in the second half the Gophers played no defense in the first half which is why they lost.

First of all, nice games by Mav and Dre. Thanks to the guys who brought it today.

Some light at the end of the tunnel for Austin perhaps. He took some steps forward.

I described the game the other night as disgusting, I think. This one was simply pathetic. This outfit is just in free fall. I don't know what can be done to right the ship. We've been down on Tubby, but if he can engineer some sort of second wind after this, I'll be the first to praise him.

It's fun watching a team that occasionally over achieves isn't it? Would anyone really be surprised if the Twins went .500 this year? It isn't expected but probably not, because they have some heart.

We DID win the second half 46-45 :)

We were just beginning to wear the Boilermakers out.

Aside from HC Matt Painter's 1st year at Purdue where he had nothing to play with, this is his worst team by far. They play mostly underclassman yet Painter still owns HC Tubby Smith and managed the same B1G record this season with a better B1G Tournament seed.

I didn't see the Boilers play much early in the season when they struggled, but they are going to be very good next year with a highly ranked recruiting class coming in and only losing DJ Byrd.

It's so Minnesotan, but I don't expect them to be great, but I think they'll be better than advertised. We'd probably feel better about the Gophers if they'd gone 9-4, 11-7, but they didn't.

Well, I believe the only reason that Purdue got the higher seed was the head-to-head victory. If the schedule played out that the Gophers got the only home game this year, the Gophers would have the victory and the higher seed. Not?

Yes. Purdue gets the tiebreaker. If the two teams had not played, Minnesota would get the tiebreaker.

Huh? You're arguing about an 8 or 9 seed? Both are equally as atrocious.

I just got out of some family commitments, missed the game, what in the F happened?!

Whats been happening for 6 years. Mentally fragile and ill prepared by the coaching staff on the road.

MN had their chance last year to play Purdue only once (at home) and if I recall got run out the gym last year too. The unbalanced schedule goes around and comes around.

I will guess that the same team that showed up at Nebraska on Wednesday showed up? Or worse?
Pretty much.

+'s Hollins and Hollins woke-up. Rodney had a few moments. Joe scored. Oto took a shot but didn't air ball it.

-'s Trevor played poorly. Mav played a lot (not his fault) Welch sick. Oto took a shot but didn't air ball it. Tubby was there.
