This is what Kill means when he talks about how important "the kicking game" is. It's starting to make a big impact in year 3.

the only thing good about giving Zwinak 5 yards a carry - would take 10+ plays to get down the field, with clock running. Gophers still NEED at least 7 points before the game is up or they won't win.
 


Our D lineman are all getting washed down the line. We need to start being light posts in our gaps, as my high school coach would say.
 

O'Brien wasting clock again. Not a good coaching day by he and his staff, so far. They easily could have got in another play by the end of the quarter. Or was he resting Zwinak?
 

This Zwinak is a helluva runner. Five yards guaranteed every carry. They can methodically move the ball all they want right now though. Without a couple big runs by Cobb, the offense hasn't done much in the second half.

Probably because we aren't letting them. Looks to me like we're playing safe and letting them run the ball a little so we don't give up a big play over the top.
 

They will open it up in the 4th. They seem to think wind is a major factor.

Are the DL's and LB's staying too high? Because they seem to be closing up the holes better this half, but Zwinak and the PSU OL just keep pushing forward.

Too early to play prevent D. Gotta get a stop, as the O is failing so far this half.
 

Whatever we do, we cannot give up a touchdown on this drive. Let's get a stop. Worst case scenario is a fg.
 




Shede's deflections are really helping us. Too bad we ran into the damn kicker.
