Nice to be back playing after what feels like a really long break. Hopefully we get our legs back quickly, Trevor's minutes get extended and Ellenson gets some meaningful minutes both halves. Let's get after it.

I am being selfish in my old "retired coach" philosophy here, but to me it is an advantage to start the game with TM coming in with the 2nd wave. We give our starters a short break, bring in our second wave led by Trevor, and their second wave is bye-bye.

But that is just me.

South Sakota State getting ready to upset New Mexico.

SDSU just beat #16 New Mexico, thats good news for the gophers rpi

I think we've got a shot at making the top 10 for next week. Assuming we pass the losers of Ohio State/Kansas and Illinois/Missouri, Wright State is up 28-22 on #11 Cincinnati, which could get us in if Wright State pulls it out.

Good to see another undefeated go down, especially against a Gopher opponent. Cincy is down by 6 at half to Wright State. If they lose, the Gophers will be almost guaranteed a Top-10 ranking once we take care of Lafayette. Will we leapfrog Syracuse, or is the school's household name status good enough to keep them in the Top-10 despite a loss to an unranked, although pretty damn solid, Temple team?

Edit: damn it, Cayman...

I don't see either Ohio State or Kansas falling below us after a loss. Syracuse will also not fall below us. Cincinnati is going to win and we'll jump up one place in the loser of Missouri and Illinois putting us at 12. We will not be top 10 prior to MSU. It will take a win against them and quite possibly against Illinois to do get into the top 10.

If Ohio state loses to Kansas, a lower ranked team, at home, and if this score keeps up, it could be a double digit loss, I am 99% certain the gophers will be ranked higher than OSU.

My guess is OSU falls to 13-15, and gophers will be 11 or 10 depending on if kansas state can beat florida, which I have a sneaky suspicion they will

Seth Hinrichs ,who played his high school ball at MACCRAY starts for Lafayette.
