*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS/INDIANA IN-GAME THREAD ***

I am so unbelievably impressed with our defense the last 3 weeks - great job fellas! And our offense looked amazing in the second quarter as well! But it means absolutely nothing if we give up this lead, and Indiana has to be the scariest team to be leading with that hurry up passing offense of theirs.

This is the best team we've had since I was in college (2004-2008). I love it.

This game is far from over. Defense needs to keep up the pressure. IU's offense too good this year.

How freaking fun is this? Been so long since I have watched a Gopher team out there NOT waiting for doom to cast over them. So much more confidence in this group of kids. The Kill system works...it's only going to continue to grow! Ski-u-mah my friends, SKI-U-MAH!!

It's fun watching a well-coached, disciplined team! Lets see what halftime adjustments are made.

Haven't had a run like this since I've started following the team. It's awesome!

How about Roland Johnson peeling off for the jailbreak?

Damn. Coaching!

I wanna get happy... but I need us to hold them to 3 or a punt on their opening second half possession...

Defense is solid right now...

The most surprising thing to me about the first half - other than a nice lead at halftime - is how poor Indiana has looked on offense. The Gophers aren't even getting much pressure on the QB, they are just making mistakes and haven't displayed a good game plan. Except for the one 3rd down screen they had, the Gophers have done a nice job against their screen plays. Arguably, the Gophers were even ready for that one too, just missed the tackle. I don't understand what their coaching staff is doing. Roberson has looked bad, thus far. And they haven't put in their other (Sudfelt ?) QB. If you "have 2 QBs," and you only use one and that guy is struggling, then you are doing a bad job of coaching, IMO.

Happy with the 1st half. Gotta keep them guessing, I like what they're doing with getting Nelson on the rollout, some screen plays, and Leidner and Nelson in on the running game.

We are very aggressive on 4th downs we all love that its working but it won't everytime so when it doesn't I hope all the fans don't get to crazy on the coaches for going for it on 4th down.

Except for putting the ball on the ground 5 times (losing 1), this has been a great half of football.

ill say it again. I want that iowa game back

I hope we can run the ball a little more consistently in the second half.

I'm still kind of scared. This IU offense seems like it got the wind knocked out of it by the Gopher defense; hopefully they don't recover. And we haven't seen Sudfield yet; I wonder why and what it would be like if he played.

We'll see IU's other QB second half. I hope he doesn't get hot. Great first half for the Gophers. Indiana is still very much in it with the ball first to start the second half.

This game will tighten up.

They get the ball.

They can score in 40 seconds.

like to see us get a few sacks or at least some better pressure on the Q

any word on Christensen?

Sure looked like a broken leg based on the way they handled it.

Great half for the team but can't sleep on these guys as Indiana can put points up in a hurry. Need better ball security in the second half as we were lucky to get all those fumbles back on the one scoring drive. Really surprised they have not gone to Sudfeld, wonder if there is an unreported injury or something like that going on because typically they run both guys in and out.

Indiana's last three 3 and outs took under 4 minutes.

The key will be running the ball and hanging onto it. Grind. That. Clock.

Agreed. But I'm not scared (nervous, yes). I think we'll pound it a bit more now. I know people don't like TOP (we're up 7 minutes already), but lets keep their D out there and wear em out!

Keep the pedal to the medal Gophers!!! Not over yet. Let's Go!!!!

Michigan had -41 yards rushing in the first half against MSU. That game will be really tough for us.

18.5 minutes TOP vs. 11.5. That bodes well for keeping our D fresh and keeping the pressure on their QB in the second half. Indiana's D is playing as advertised but not so much their O. In other words, our O and D are getting it done so far. Let's keep it up!

Go Gophers!

If Sudfield doesn't come in right away, the Hoosiers are dead.
