Regardless......it was an odd call. Quick handoff right up the middle. Has worked well in short yard situations. Just don't understand the call.

Having two QBs is really helping this team. Usually I hate having two guys rotating, but for us it seems to be keeping the offense fresh. When one guy is struggling, the other guy comes in provides a spark.

And that's why he has quickly become our best RB. He waits for the play to develop rather than run straight into the line. However.....with three or four plays to grab a couple yards....you dive straight forward. I still don't agree with the play call however. Quick handoff is the goal in that situation. We didn't call that sort of run.

I'm still puzzled - I really didn't think Leidner was that much better of a runner than Nelson. It seems like they definitely run the quarterback a lot more when Leidner is in there though.
Regardless, I'm ok with whatever/whoever makes it happen.

haha yeah, but that was 3 plays from the 5, no more pushing up the middle at that point. Good to see the call to Leidner. I really think the QB running game combined with a short passing game is what will be most effective against Indiana, as they are concentrating on the RBs big time. Definitely surprised to see the middle run by Cobb work at that juncture, but then again I didn't think a sweep to Gary Russell on 3rd and 10 would beat Michigan either lol
