Hey it's 4th and 10, let's run a 5 yard pass play vs one of the best tacklers in the nation.
 






horrible play, ball game. Really impressed by the D today. Its obvious without engel this is a different passing game. Need to find a couple of guys in the offseason to be play makers down the field.
 

And I've seen that 4th down play work many times. Don't mind the call at all

I realize that, but that's being outplayed, not necessarily being overrated. Offense has been inconsistent all year for the Gophers.

We always hear about the great Badger O-lines, but this ain't one of them. White and Gordon are fantastic players, but the Badger line hasn't played well today.
 






I have to wonder what the choice of ball had on the game today. Minnesota has been pretty sure handed and Nelson's passing is just off. I would love to have a sure handed wide receiver with a bit of speed...would have made a world of difference today.

Regardless it was a bad fourth down play and it sure would have been good to get those five yards on first or second down. Great play by our defense though. Where headed in the right direction. Bielma would have been throwing now.
 



Was Andersen congratulating Hageman or barking at him?
 

Great effort by the D today. Next year our offense will catch up.
 

Defense really played well. Outside of White's big run early, not a lot of big yardage plays. I realize the conditions had something to do with that, but the D played really tough.
 


Before everyone on here jumps off a bridge and makes 493 threads about how its the same old Gophers, just look at our season. 8-3 with the chance for 9 wins. Nelson has shown great potential this year and I am excited to have him 2 more years. Wisconsin is arguably a top 10 team, a few years ago we couldn't win a Big Ten game. Our defense showed today that they can compete with the best offenses in the country. This is a game that people didn't expect to compete in at all, and to have a chance in the 4th quarter is acceptable to me, although I would've liked to won.
 

Minnesota needed zero turnovers to win the game. Didn't happen. Wisconsin is just better. Sucks. 10 years and counting.

Start cheering for Penn State to keep the Gophers in 2nd place. Gotta feel bad for the seniors, never winning the axe or the jug.
