This is just not a very good team. It wasn’t like we were just off tonight, they just looked relatively evenly matched athletically with one of the worst teams in D1 basketball.

It’s a shame to waste a year of a pretty nice player in Tyson. There is obviously time to turn things around, I’m just not seeing the pieces of the vision.
 


Betting against the gophers to cover but them winning is a nice treat!

Not even close to covering the last three games.

Actually, I love the WAY they are playing the game. They just are not making shots and the bigger concern is that when they aren't they just don't have anyone that they can chuck it inside to.

Tonight for the first time in years here, the coach won the game for them. With about 8 minutes to go - maybe less, but with the game basically tied, he put them in a zone that stopped Chi St - plus he got the guys to stop settling for the 3 ball.

I think they will be okay. Tyson, JCJ and Asuma look solid. They need some others to step up in a big way.
 

I'm starting to become concerned about this team. These players have been better and should be better. It stands to reason they can make layups or they wouldn't have made their high school teams. WTF is going on?!

There's always a bright side, though. It was something like 18 assists on 19 field goals, which shows the scheme and execution are working. Defense and rebounding are good enough...in fact, the defense has been outstanding most of the time.

If sports is supposed to be entertaining...I'm going to try to be entertained by this.
 




Afraid Vaihola is out for the year? I guess we will find out if Turner can play.

I still can't reconcile the first two games and the last two. The opponent tonight was worse than the two teams we beat by 30 to open the season. Did Mizzou break them mentally or something?

They move the ball very well....and miss the shots. They have no power game. None.

I thought it looked like a knee/Achilles and he was down for a while, but maybe it's not major.

I know he was down for awhile, but it looked like he just banged knees with the other guy. Guess we'll see

Looked like a hyper extension of his knee. Better than an ACL tear, I hope!
