Agree with this. Run game is tight and compact. Throwing out of that is all tight formations and windows or PA.

Lindsey is slinging out the gun. There is no run threat except the 3rd and 1 or hitting a crease (Lindsey has audibled into this really nicely twice). We keep running this double TE with routes all going into each other out of heavy and it’s just bad scheme unless you have a wr who blows the top

Also, his red zone offense is horrid. Both are bottom 10%. I so miss watching Ciarocca, he is an excellent OC. I can’t believe PJ can’t find an OC close to Ciarocca’s caliber. I’d offer the guy $1.5MM plus to come back and I’d take a pay cut if I was Fleck. His offenses without Ciarocca underachieve big time.

The Ciarocca offense just featured Athan going 18 for 23 for 252 yds, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. I don’t know how anyone thinks Harbaugh is the answer at OC. He improved from terrible to OK with an NFL QB last year.
 





What happened to Geers in the red zone after the TD? Not even sure he was on the field on the last 2 red zone possessions.
 






If we keep letting these guys hang around then we're about to watch another Bowling Green.

Blame the coach post. Always happens. It is possible the players aren’t that good?

That game we didn’t move it at all. This one we just keep tripping over our own feet every time we’re close. It’s a real puzzling one but also a super common freshman situation with windows getting tighter and more pressure in the RZ and our receivers dropping 5+ balls now

They’re heavy run blitzing out of tight. Coach needs to go back to the quick fill out of tight to keep them honest (the first drop to geers was this). Those hard PA with a double lb blitz are going to get Lindsey piped unless they teach their RBs to abandon their fakes when they see blitz
 


These receivers don't deserve Lindsey. All his passes have been spot on except for one that was probably a miscommunication. So many drops... Geers has always been unreliable as a pass catcher.
 


Time for our anemic redzone offensive playcalling to take over.

Have to say if I’m a transfer looking for a qb to play with, would look awfully appealing against this competition

His end zone pass was bad should have been picked off. Besides that he’s been really good
 

Just brain dead play calling making it a 3rd and medium against a pair of heavy boxes

And then smith fucks up the catch on a dime from
Lindsey
