Fleck has mentioned that recruiting is just as much about recruiting the family as it is the player.
 


The only transferring-out Gophers who haven't found a home yet are (1) Kicker David Kemp, (2) WR Christian Driver and (3) RB Johann Cardenas. Cardenas signed with the Gophers as a transfer, but left school before the season began. Wasn't on the Gophers roster in 2025; didn't play anywhere, apparently. Not sure why Driver isn't playing somewhere. Maybe he doesn't want to play down. Maybe a health issue.

Some people have suggested off the field stuff with Driver but don't know if that is a guess. Apparently him and his girlfriend are big on social media and they were making videos as if he was just fine injury wise.
