Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

I think Smith and Tracy are better. For Coleman to leave, he must have thought he would be 5th or 6th on the depth chart. Or maybe PJ thought that and let Coleman know … Maybe PJ tired of Coleman’s parents lobbying for more playing time.
I'm sure coaches are used to dealing with disgruntled parents and players over playing time issues and what not. Now they also get to deal with agents which I am bet adds a whole new layer of fun for them.

I always wonder how much this goes on.
Don't know personally if this actually happened with Coleman. Just heard a rumor somewhere. Might be true, might not. Because PJ, as a coach, tries to stay close to the players' parent--good retention effects--he might unintentionally open the door to some unwelcome lobbying over playing time.

Landing spots so far:

Perich, Oregon
Ijeboi, Purdue
Tafai, Cal
Lanier II, Missouri
Coleman, Badgers
Bryan, South Florida
Lyons, Montana
Tripp, Middle Tennessee
Bowden, East Carolina
Curtis, North Texas
Berry, Tennessee State
McGrath, NDSU
Brun, South Dakota
E. Carrier, South Dakota

Curiously, QB Kollock has not landed yet. Former 4* with just a redshirt year gone. Should be a good pick up for a Power 4 team. Also, WR Driver hasn't got a new home yet. Ditto for RB Cardenas, listed as a Gopher in the transfer portal, but who wasn't on the Gopher roster during the 2025 season (left school).

Is there a place to see a list of all the incoming players with how many years of eligibility left?

Jaron Thomas attended high school at Concord (Elkhart IN) where my son and him went to school together. He has huge upside and could be a significant contributor. His brother holds the 100m record at Concord. Looking forward to seeing him in Maroon and Gold. P.S. One of his HS teammates is also in the portal....Nitro Tuggle (WR)...also from Purdue after originally going to Georgia. Would love to see them reunited in Minneapolis but know that is a longshot.
My son had the opportunity to interview Jaron Thomas last week about his recruitment and transfer. Discussed Coach Mo and the opportunity Jaron has at The University of Minnesota. Here is a link to the video

Indiana Gopher,

Where are you at in Indiana ?

My family all lives there and my brother in law is the team chiropractor for The Hoosiers team.

Good stuff, I’m excited to watch Jaron play.

This was over 20 years ago but during my very mediocre junior hockey career, there was a guy on my team whose dad complained about not getting enough run on the power play. Next day, kid had a one way bus ticket home. Maybe times have changed but I doubt Fleck and co give two shits and a fuck about parents.

Maybe it depends on the situation, like an in-game decision vs how the coach plans on using your kid this upcoming season?

Glen Mason said on the radio a few weeks ago that it’s the bosters that typically drive the playing time question. Now according to some connections I have it’s REALLY the boosters and the agents, and the agents are typically sucking up to the boosters. Just seems slimy, man it would be tough to deal with as a coach.

It's true... Don't asked how I obtained this, but here is a picture from his playing days.

Parents don't talk to coaches about playing time in college

Fake medicine? No chiropractor advocated for the clot-shot (aka the Fauchi-ouchy) which has already been proven a lie. I will never forgive traditional medicine.
You mean the Trump Express? Pushing to get a shot out in record time.

I remember very well the Humphries family pushing their buttons. Wonder if a guy like Saban will ever write a book about all his experiences. I'm guessing no, or he'd burn a lot of bridges.

Didn’t know that the hoosiers believed in fake medicine

Interesting
Ummm, having things realigned after injury isn't fake.

If anything is fake, it's the family practitioner having no clue what your problem is and just giving you 3 weeks worth of pain killers/muscle relaxers and hoping the problem goes away on it's own.

Parents don't talk to coaches about playing time in college
I'm sure that is true for most parents but there have been stories over the years about those helicopter parents that get way over involved in their kids career.

I guarantee though in this current landscape there are people telling the coaches that if they don't pay or play a certain player enough they will transfer.
