Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Kerry Brown would be a greater loss than Koi in my opinion. He’s been much more consistent. Koi is overhyped when you consider all the missed tackles, being out of position, etc. He didn’t take a step forward this year at all. He is not an automatic start anywhere he would go… he wouldn’t start at a number of Big Ten schools. All that said, never want to see a kid leave, and at the same time don’t want to overpay for him either (whatever that means in this new environment)

I disagree with almost everything you said about Perich, but I do make it at more than 50-50 that he moves on.

Charles Woodson took a step backwards his sophomore year. Hard to follow up tremendous Freshman season. I’d prefer to have them both back back along with Smith, Menz, Baranowski and have an elite defense.

Fleck is going to be busy this New Years Weekend. Must be stressful for many of the coaches despite the money they make.

A terrible year for Koi is still second team all big ten, he would start for every team in America. You can put him at Safety or nickel

Damn....just pulled up the transfer portal on 247 and it shows Zaquan Bryan as being in the portal. Had an up and down year but we are thin at CB already so going to have to find some good ones in the portal.

Edit - there are a lot of young DBs on the roster so there may be some guys waiting in the wings as well.

He had a terrible year best for both us and him fresh start.

Too bad but Nestor passed him as the alpha in that room and it seems like Gousby going to move over there permanently as well, plus young guys like Parrish and Gerald were nipping at his heals for reps. I'm sure they will portal in a couple guys as well. Need a nickel back and another guy to step up outside

I don't know if I can intelligently pick on or the other or say what Koi would do elsewhere.

But I agree, Koi still seems raw, I'm still stinging from a bad tackle (just threw his shoulder at a guy and missed) from the Northwestern game that ultimately would have been a stop and .. would have won.

I like him, but Koi plays recklessly at times.

I'm guessing the reckless part is also where the great plays come from. It's a tightrope.

Koi had something like 252 return yards in the Northwestern game, i think it was the most return yards for a defensive player in like 15 years of FBS football, but keep hating on him, also had a pick six to end the Purdue game.

How could a guy who was in position to make as many tackles as he did (12th in tackles in conference games in an 18-team Big Ten), also be in position to miss as many tackles as you say....all while being out of position as much as you say? Freaking guy must have been all over the field. Maybe 2 or 3 spots at once? At least we agree he was around the ball A LOT. That's a good thing.

Also, news for some of you. The guys on scholarship on the other team sometimes break tackles and sometimes take a hit and remain standing.

Koi played well. Key piece for the defense. We absolutely will not have someone as good as he is if he leaves. We need him to stay. Especially when you add in his impact in the return game, and sometimes on offense.

lol @ the goofballs spazzing about koi not handing the ball to the officials. He played like a total of 30 snaps on offense
