Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Hayes was beat out and stayed? Or was he injured all year?
This isn't a hard rule. I'm not saying everyone who doesn't win a starting spot is guaranteed to leave. Only thing I've heard about Hayes is that he's our most dynamic WR after the catch if practice reports are true.

Played in the bowl game last year. Just thought he would get more run this year. Hope the reports are true.

Well, that’s probably not true, considering he can’t get on the field.

It feels like there is a lot that you can read into this.

Assume things will really pick up in the next few days. Moved Anthony Smith to the coming back group so seems unlikey we will have anyone leaving early for the draft.

Should be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

PJ has pretty much said that Braiden Stevens will see the field next year, because he possesses rare speed.
Really? When did he say that? I've watched a decent number of Huddle videos over the years and when I watched Braiden Stevens, his speed did not look that rare and neither did his wiggle. He outran some kids, but not by a lot. You see a 10.38 reported for him in articles, but when I dug in, I couldn't really find evidence of it and he certainly didn't look THAT fast on the football field. If he did run that time, it must have been in a 10 mph tailwind. He did have a number of times in the 10.8 range so Koi Perich like which is still pretty dang good! Just minus 5 inches and 40 pounds. I'll be surprised if he has much of a roll especially early. Maybe he can grow into a slot receiver over time. I certainly hope I'm wrong and he's more than that!

I get what you are saying about dumping off to a back but don't use Rodney Smith as your example. He was elite at catching the ball out of the backfield and making big plays with his opportunities. The problem was that they rarely targeted him. Not many backs can catch and elude tacklers...most can't catch or gain nothing if they do...Rodney was the best in a long while at this.View attachment 41032
Rodney was very talented. Sometimes we forget that the RB room in 2019 had Mo, Brooks, and Smith because the wr group was elite.

Brockington is 29th in yards receiving in the 140 year history of the school

While he isn’t an all time great, saying the 29th best guy of all time isn’t solid is straight up insane.

I think you could say he wasn’t good enough to contend and not be insane
Also missed a lot of time with injuries in 23 and 24

Signing day. He said "you can really see him helping us as a true freshman"

This should be sufficient evidence of the 10.38. A week prior, he ran 10.48.
