Official 2024 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Rumors

There was a spirited discussion in the 2024 Recruiting Thread about STA running back Savion Hart, who, though dominant in HS, didn’t merit an offer from the Gophs. He ended up at Georgetown. Played and excelled in four games freshman year, keeping his redshirt. In Georgetown’s opener this season, Hart was both the leading rusher and receiver for the Hoyas. Glad to see him doing well.

Props for finding this thread. I remember early in that cycle there was hope he’d be a high 3/4 star but it never panned out.

With stats like that he’ll likely move up a level. Hopefully he’s still cool with the staff when he is on the move.

I’m with you and xyz1, anyone who had the time to watch him in HS saw it. He absolutely trucked a DL on our roster at the line of scrimmage in the state title game.

Would be interesting to see how he would do against a higher tier opponent but he won't really get that opportunity at Georgetown. Still good to see local kids having success in the college ranks and with the way guys move around maybe he ends up here at some point.

To be fair he was playing Davidson who's a non scholarship team (same conference as ust)
