Jalen Suggs, who has a scholarship offer from the Gophers in basketball, received an offer from Iowa State in football.

IF, Fleck leads UMn to a 13-0 season going into the bowl game, WHERE on earth would be greener pastures? Bama? Is Saban getting bored or something? I doubt he has any reason to want to coach in the NFL. I'm being serious here.

Is this post from Raygen himself, or Raygen's Mom? If you are Raygen, I'll assume you plan to major in Marketing.

Since Suggs is elite basketball player, always assumed he would only do basketball

Suggs must be a pretty good football player too. I guess I thought he would be a guy that would only entertain basketball offers from places like Kansas, Duke, et all.

It is good that Fleck signed a long snapper. It should help when the Gophers have to punt.

Just got an offer from the U. Already has offers from the CyHawk trophy teams.

Great kid and a great athlete. Last spring ran a 14:85 110 m. hurdles, which reportedly made him the first 9th grader to run a sub 15 in State history
 

Rosemount sophomore WR Jonathan Mann gets offer from Gophers


During his visit to Dinkytown last weekend, Mann became part of the first batch of recruits to see the brand new Larson Football Performance Center compete and functional. It’s part of the U’s $166 million Athletes’ Village project.

“There is cool down to the last detail and how they use each and every inch of their space,” Mann said. “The decorations that they put up to make it seem like a hard-working atmosphere. That was really attractive to me.”

Born and raised in Minnesota, Mann grew up a Gophers fan in part, because his oldest sister Bethany went to the U. His first extended visit with head coach P.J. Fleck left a positive impression.

“The culture there — they are changing it for the better,” he said. “Coach Fleck has the ‘Row the Boat’ and the family atmosphere, which I really like. That just impressed me a lot.”

“This is a very important decision to me, and so I want to make sure that I’m able to take time,” Mann said. “… This is my future and my education and that isn’t something that I like to mess around with. I just want to make sure that I take all things into consideration and make a decision that I will be happy with for the rest of my life.”

I just checked out the 2020 Minnesota class rankings for the 1st time. There are already 8 4-star players in this class - if it holds, it would have to be the top-ranked high school class in modern history. Suggs is #1 and will play basketball, but it still appears to be loaded.
 

Would be huge if we could get like 5 of them to come here. Hopefully we have Dugan or Bachmeir in 19 so it’s even more intriguing for the receivers
