Pretty incredible that we offered a scholarship to a kicker for 2017 already. This kid must have one heck of a leg.

works for me! thanks gh!

yes, this kid must have a monster leg. most kickers don't get scholarship offers until a few weeks before signing day.

east ridge is turning into quite the football program with a host of d1 kids.

Oh, wow. I didn't realize he went to Eastridge. So JC was a top 200 recruit and than Green and Garcia are both in the 247 top 200 and now this kid looks to be a top 5 kicker which is the equivalent to a top 200 guy except kickers don't get ranked that high. 4 top 200 guys in 4 years is ridiculous for any program but i mean Eastridge? Thats more impressive than the way CDH puts out 5 stars.

Oh wow. Kjetil Cline, 2016 Eastridge WR already has offers from Pitt and Western Michigan. Could very well win state in 2015.

I believe he is moving to Florida this year to play and Green is rumored to be moving to Texas. Do they no like their coach or coaches?

Wrong sport and different country, but put some pads on this kid and hand him the ball and let him run!!! Wow he's FAST!

Go Gophers!!

per FSN:

Add another offer to the stack for sophomore defensive back Jaylen Kelly-Powell. He already holds offers from Michigan, Northwestern, and Pittsburgh but now the Gophers have thrown their hat in the ring for the prospect thought to be a phenom in the defensive backfield.

The 6'1" 190 prospect is enjoying his recruitment so far and appreciates the offer from Minnesota. Here is what he had to say per Scout:

“I found out about the offer from my head coach,” Kelly-Powell told GopherDigest. “Words can’t even express how happy I am on receiving this offer. It’s a Big Ten school with a high quality education. Also a guy named Ray (Buford) is going there next year and I am planning on learning more from him. Me and him have known each other for like a year now. We workout together sometimes.”

It sounds like the Gophers have an early connection with Kelly-Powell. The name of the game in recruiting is getting prospects on campus for visits so we will see if the Gophers can get him to Minneapolis.

Go Gophers!!

per MichiganPreps:

The year just keeps getting better and better for Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's junior defensive back, Richard Bowens. After winning a state title in football, and track and field for St. Mary's, as well as taking home the gold medal in the 300m hurdles in the state championships. To add to that, Bowens received his first Big Ten offer on Sunday, when the Minnesota Gophers decided to get in on his recruitment.

Bowens attended the Gophers camp, impressing the coaching staff enough to earn the offer.

"I was very happy," Bowens laughed. "I said thank you, and that I appreciated the offer. It was great to get the offer. It was a good experience, and I had a pretty good camp. I had good testing, and I did good in my individuals. The staff was great, and I was really happy to hear the words come out his mouth that he was giving me a scholarship, and the fact that it was from the Big Ten made it even better."

Bowens was offered personally by Minnesota head coach, Jerry Kill, and defensive backs coach, Jay Sawvel. The Gophers had Bowens on their radar before he even camped with them over the weekend, as they like to recruit the metro Detroit area, boasting two freshmen defensive backs from Southfield (Mich.) High on their roster. Bowens is a rising junior, with great size right now for his position, at 6-1, 175-pounds. The Gophers being the first high-major school to offer Bowens could go a long ways for them when he makes his college decision. Recruits never forget who their first big-time offer came from.

"We were just talking in a room after the camp," Bowens said. "Me, Coach Kill, Coach Sawvel, and my dad, and they were just saying that they liked my film, and my talents, and that they saw everything that they needed to see, and extended me a scholarship offer. Then we talked about going back up there, because I really didn't get to take a tour, so I plan on going back up there for a game, and to keep in touch with them."

Per ESPN, Ohio State already has 7 Top 300 commits for the Class of 2017:

Ohio State building a special 2017 recruiting class

Defensive lineman Jerron Cage kept the ESPN Junior 300 streak alive for Ohio State when he committed on Tuesday. The Buckeyes had seven commitments in the 2017 class and all were within the top list prior to Cage’s decision.

Cage is the No. 200 ranked prospect and helps keep the Buckeyes batting 1,000 within the class.

Ricky Floyd is fast..... wow. Get him a Golden Ticket!

I saw East Ridge RB Dominik London at the Ohio game.

Northstar Football's top-rated 2017 prospect Blaise Andries was at Saturday's game. Visited Michigan State and Iowa the two weeks prior.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

On the whole, however, Andries is trying to keep his focus on his high school team’s season and is taking the recruiting aspect in stride. So far, this strategy has worked well and Marshall is undefeated and Andries picked up his first offer.

“It has been going great,” Andries said of his recruitment. “I have been able to keep my focus on our high school team, but I hear from Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan State and Purdue the most.”

With a contingent of Big Ten programs in pursuit of the big junior lineman, Andries has received many game invites and has made his way to several campuses during the football season.

“Unofficially I have visited Michigan State, Iowa, Minnesota and Northwestern now,” Andries said. “I saw great games and all four of these programs are top notch.”

As the season trudges on, Andries is planning to make another stop in Big Ten territory, a visit that will be close to home and should provide for an exciting game atmosphere.

“I am planning to go to Minnesota on the 17th for their game against Nebraska,” Andries said.

Just watched Nico Bolden from Woodbury tonight and was very impressed with his game. 6'4", 190 lb safety who flies all over the field. He was in on practically every tackle and when he makes contact the runner goes down. He glides out there and moves at a faster level than everyone else on the field. Could see him adding some weight and being a 220 lb. LB for a power 5 school. Currently just has an offer from Illinois St.
