The Gophers have already made a few scholarship offers in the 2016 recruiting class and that is likely to pick up in the coming months. Here is a thread to post offers, articles, tweets and read the latest as we begin the march to signing day in Feb. 2016.

Is Thomas Barber the youngest Barber brother that Marion and Dominique raved about?

Is Thomas Barber the youngest Barber brother that Marion and Dominique raved about?

Jack Leius, son of former Twins third baseman Scott Leius, is a sophomore safety in the Robbinsdale Armstrong football program with linebacker-running back Thomas Barber, son of former Gophers and New York Jets running back Marion Barber III, as well as wide receiver-defensive back True Thompson, son of former Gophers and Green Bay Packers running back Darrell Thompson.

I think that's a typo (should be Barber Jr.), but yeah it looks like it is his brother. I didn't know we still had another Barber to look forward to!

Haven't we been hearing for years how the youngest is the best of the family? How does he look now that he is playing in HS?

East Ridge is STACKED for 2016

Anybody know anything on the Pink kid from Elk River? I haven't heard his name before. Also, has anybody heard anything on Connor Wilke, the Andover 2014 QB? I saw him at quite a few Gopher practices and games last year.

Russian?:cool02:

Is he Communist? Back in the day, didn't they call them "Pinko's"? They do have a kid named Denis Bardashevskiy, I believe they call him the "Russian Rocket", he led the state in rushing this past year if memory serves me. ;);)

Does anybody have an idea how this (2016) compares to the (2015/2014) classes for in state kids? I know Jeff Jones and Jashon Cornell are the big recruits for these classes and Seth Green will be the big recruit for the 2016 class. What about the balance of recruits for these year's classes? I realize this is all speculation, but Minnesota is starting to produce some high quality BCS players. Go Gophers.

JoJo Garcia will be a stud too!

D1 prospects for 2016:

Jo Jo Garcia
Seth Green
Brian Lankford-Johnson
Brison White
Josh Panek
Kieran McKaeg

I am sure that there are many more. Just the ones that I am familiar with.

Hope the gophers can land a few of these kids.

Don't forget about Thomas Barber, brother of Marion and Dom. 6 ft and 215 lbs as a sophomore. Started at LB this year for Armstrong.

per Sid:

• The Barber family was in Gophers news again the other day when former Gophers and Houston Texans safety Dominic Barber became a member of Jerry Kill’s staff. No doubt Marion Barber was a great running back, but the word is that the youngest Barber, Tommy, an RB/LB for Robbinsdale Armstrong this fall, may turn out to be the best in the family.
