These were our Two Deeps Going Into the TCU Game on the Tuesday Depth Chart:
LT: Campion - Lauer
LG: Christenson - Bjorklund
C: Bobek - Moore
RG: Connor Mayes - Isaac Hayes
RT: Pirsig - Bush

That's 10 offensive lineman of the 21 on the roster. 8 of the 10 are juniors and seniors. (And we only have 8 on the roster so that's impressive) Exceptions are SO. Connor Mayes and FR Tyler Moore.
According to the participation chart 8 offensive linemen played. FR Moore did not and Campion did not with the concussion.
Does anybody have a link to participation and the number of plays people played? How did we piece it together? Who played the most?

I guess, I'm surprised a little bit by only 8 lineman playing with two left tackles injured. Bobek played every snap at center?
Who is our next tackle to play after Pirsig and Bush? I assume those two had all the tackle snaps after Lauer left? How much did Lauer play?
Even though Moore is number 2 center, do you think he redshirts and Christenson plays center if Bobek isn't or someone else from the other top 10 guys slides over to play center?

We have 6 true freshman and 3 redshirt freshman for 9 guys including Moore. Anybody likely to play of those people? Jerry mentioned Connelly recently. Oseland was highly touted but that's been pretty quiet...right? Just curious to hear from people who follow the offensive lineman. Do you think the 6 FR redshirt? Game one points in that direction.

Lots of good questions, but I don't know the answer.

I did watch the 2 hour version back today specifically to watch the line. Lauer tried hard, but he could barely move. What really stood out to me was the play of Bobek. Very, very solid game. I hope he stays right there all year.

Seemed like Bobek, Pirsig, and Mayes played the majority of the plays and may have played every play. Lauer played a few series I think his last snap was the strip sack. Didn't seem like Christenson was out there all that much either and not sure if it was performance based or an injury but seemed like Bjorklund might have got more snaps there. The only other OL that I can think of that might have played would be Hayes and it could have just been on special teams or something. Oseland ran with the #2 offense at LT in warm-ups and I'd guess he is the 3rd tackle right now until Campion and Lauer get healthy. I could see Christenson sliding over to play some center if it is a short term situation but I think he would be the only option aside from Moore.

Why is it that Hayes gets little to no playing time? I never hear anything about him from the coaches either. ESPN had him listed as a 4 star guard and a top 150 prospect in 2012.

Good question.

He was a dominant high school player. I had high hopes for him too.

I think Tyler Moore will end up playing this year, primarily because we will need him next year. Oseland probably plays if Campion and Lauer don't get better soon.

Must not be living up the ranking. Lots of guys don't make the transition from high school to college, and for some it takes a lot longer then others. No clue where he falls on the pecking order but if he is buried on the depth chart then clearly the guys in front of him are outperforming him to this point.

Wonder if something non-physical is precluding him from more playing time (attitude? Dedication?) Watched him when he played last year and always seemed to do his job- never saw anyone cross his face like Mayes let happen a couple times Thursday.

If Oselund had come in early enrollment like Moore, he would have started against TCU and we might have won the game. Not because he is better than a healthy Campion or Lauer, but because he is next up and they were too hurt to play. Oselund will be as stud.

It would be nice if guys like Isaac Hayes and Alex Mayes would finally step up. I'm guessing Oselund and Moore get more and more playing time as the season progresses.
