per the OC Register:

Amanda Zahui B. — a worldly, well-traveled soul — is looking forward to discovering all that L.A. has to offer: the beaches, the hiking trails, the best coffee spots, finding Kristi Toliver in the corner for 3, borrowing post moves from Nneka Ogwumike and, yes, contributing to an established culture of winning.

The 27-year-old free agent center from Stockholm, Sweden, Zahui B. — pronounced ZAH’-wee — will play her seventh season with the L.A. Sparks after signing a multi-year deal with the team Thursday. Like so many WNBA players, the former Minnesota Golden Gophers college star also played professionally outside of the U.S., in Russia and the Czech Republic.

After being drafted No. 2 overall in 2015 by the Tulsa Shock, the next season, Zahui B. was traded to the New York Liberty, where the 6-foot-5 center played the past five seasons, developing into a 3-point threat and respected interior defender — even on the floundering Liberty.

Go Gophers!!

I always think about what could have been had she stayed an additional year @ the U. Wish her well but will not be cheering for the Sparks. Go Gophers n Lynx !!

I agree, will never cheer for LA. Hope she succeeds there though 😊
