4* S/LB hybrid Nigel Glover is only Northwestern player that appears to have entered the portal since the Fitz firing. Glover was the no. 2 rated recruit in NW's 2023 recruiting class (0.9000). A rangy safety (Nubin-sized) in HS; also seems to be the prototype for the Gopher's nickel back/LB position. Would just be beginning true freshman year this fall. No idea if the Gophers are interested (or have a spot), or if Glover would reciprocate, but he looks like he would be a nice fit in the Rossi D scheme.

Why not take a shot at landing him? We obviously had interest in him when we offered in January of 2022. It's not like we are trying to poach him. If the kid is in the portal then he is leaving one way or another. In terms of a roster spot, you find room for a kid like this. If they still had a spot for Gilmore then they have a spot for him.

On top of that, Illinois was the first to offer him and they were also decimated by the draft losing three DBs. You know Bret is going hard after this kid as well.

Glover was ranked as the 7th best player in the state of Ohio’s 2023 HS class. He’ll have several good transfer options, I assume. He needs to come to a B1G school where the culture is respectful.
 

The Gophers will more than likely take him in a flash! Got get him PJ Fleck!

Sounds like our kind of guy or player. We did have an offer out to Mr Glover and it look's like he visited, I think. Maybe the staff is already looking into this transfer?
