Our DBs and LBers are outstanding tacklers in space. Their proficiency in same probably was the key to the game. BBC is really, really good but overall our DBs and LBers can pretty much all play.

DL play is all across the board. Richardson and Botticelli and for the most part Cockran are doing a very good job. I know he had a strip, but overall Amaefula is probably the least productive player on the D. No Hank Epke at all was he out injured and I missed it. Hopefully, Keith can get back to the form he flashed in game one. Stelter is hanging in there but the game is still moving pretty fast for him. It would be nice to get a few more sacks and I think it will come. When Richardson and Botticelli are in there it's a LBers dream they are getting penetration, keeping blockers occupied and allowing the LBers to flow to the ball and make tackles.

I don't think Campion is very good. His best attribute seems to be that he can stay healthy he seems to get beaten on run plays quite a bit and I worry about his pass blocking when the competition takes a step up. Epping had a bad day. The big kid playing over him was pretty good but he was getting blown up all day probably still not full speed but he needs to play better. Olson is rock solid does a nice job. Leuer and Pirsig are improving and if they can stay healthy should get better and better.

The difference in how the ball is coming out of Leidner's hand now compared to eariler is astounding. Even the bad decision on the pick was a perfect spiral. Whatever changed, god bless him he seems to have worked his way through adversity and come out on the other side a better, more confident QB.

Kudos to Fruechte he's taken a lot of heat but he's come up big. The play action passes really keep the pass rush down and are humming really well nice to see. That won't help us if we're behind late in the game and need to throw the ball and that's the next step for us to take but everything seems to be trending positively in the passing game.

Fun game to watch.

Good write up. I agree with everything except the knock on Campion. I think he's our best OL, not worst. At his natural position of RT, I don't think we have a better OL, except arguably Epping when healthy. The fact that Campion has also filled in at RG & now taken over at LT, show his versatility & importance to the team. I presume Lauer's still hobbled with that high ankle sprain, which is why Campion is the better option right now?

nice write up, but punctuation couldn't hurt to clarify some of the things your'e saying.

Wait! What? Run on sentences make for better and more interpretations, and adds to more over analyzing.
