So true. That's why we shouldn't throw stones at other programs (most specifically Iowa and Wisconsin) when they have off-the-field problems. These guys aren't all angels, whether it's Iowa, Wisconsin, Tennessee, here or elsewhere.
It's one of the things as fans we have to come to grips with if we want to enjoy following big-time athletics, that some of these athletes don't belong in a college classroom and/or otherwise would be in jail. In essence, we are condoning it simply by paying for our tickets, making donations, etc. It's a fact.
Bottom line is, like most of society, I think most of these guys are probably pretty decent people. We just hear about the knuckleheads much more often.
