Coaches Following the Freak (thank you, men)
That I know of, there are 4 Division 1 head basketball coaches following me on X @Fieldof76Freak. So, I'll be pulling for these guys (with current record) all season:

Gus Argenal, UC-Riverside (2-2)
Steve Lavin, San Diego (2-1)
Johnny Tauer, St. Thomas (3-2)
Will Wade, NC State (3-0)

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
The SEC had a historical 2024-25 season with complete dominance during non-conference play resulting in 14 NCAA Tournament bids, a pair of Final Four teams (Auburn, Florida), and the national champions (Gators). I'd argue at least two of those 14 bids were questionable, but the SEC still earned every bit of praise it received; it was a season of utter domination.

That said, I was quite surprised before the season how easily a lot of college basketball "experts" casually said the SEC would match or surpass last season's bid total. They should know better; seasons like that are extremely rare. The odds of the SEC (or any conference) repeating that kind of domination were minimal, and it's proving true. The SEC thus far sports a 5-10 record vs. Power 5/Gonzaga opponents, among Power 5 conferences ahead of only the Big East. A more reasonable expectation would've been the SEC following up in 2025-26 with somewhere between 10-12 bids. ... interested to see how this plays out on Selection Sunday.
