Trailing by 3 at the half, the Bison outscored the Matadors 60-35 in the second half. Andy Stefonowicz (17), Markhi Strickland (14), and Noah Feddersen also scored in double figures.

Tulsa @ Oral Roberts (1-1), 7
Southern Indiana @ South Dakota (1-2), 7
South Dakota State (2-1) @ Oregon, 8:30 (PEACOCK)

Tuesday Eye-Openers
Buffalo 66, DePaul 53: Perhaps peeking ahead to Saturday’s game vs. in-state rival Northwestern, the Blue Demons pratfell at home vs. the Bulls. Daniel Freitag, a transfer from Wisconsin & a Bloomington Jefferson (MN) HS graduate, had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Bulls.

Central Connecticut 60, Boston College 59: BC (1-2) is the early leader in the clubhouse for the worst Power 5 team in the country, dropping its second game to a non-Power 5 opponent. Tough times in Chestnut Hill in both basketball and football.

#19 Gonzaga 90, #23 Creighton 63: The Zags smack the Bluejays behind a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double from Graham Ike. The Zags simply just keep on keeping on.

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
Michigan’s 85-84 overtime win over Wake Forest last night got me thinking. …

Perhaps the media anointed the wrong 1st-team preseason All-American (Yaxel Lendeborg) for the Wolverines? Lendeborg (9 points, 5 rebounds) was mostly invisible, while gigantic 7-3 teammate & UCLA transfer Aday Mara was in complete control of the game on both ends of the floor. Mara finished with 18 points, 13 boards, 6 assists, and 5 blocked shots. Other than perhaps Arizona freshman man-child Koa Peat’s 30-point, 7-rebound, 5-assist, 3-steal masterclass vs. defending national champion Florida, Mara’s performance was the most impactful one I’ve seen this season.
