The search for a new Mizzou women’s basketball coach is underway following Wednesday’s announcement that Robin Pingeton will be stepping down at the end of the season.

Pingeton will end her 15-year tenure with the Tigers after amassing a 250-216 record. Her tenure included four NCAA Tournament appearances.

Carly Thibault-Dudonis, Fairfield

Thibault-Dudonis is another name to be considered because of the job she’s done with the Stags. She is in her third season at Fairfield.
After finishing with a 15-15 record in Year 1, Thibault-Dudonis coached the Stags to a program-record 31 wins in 2023-24, a campaign that included a 29-game winning streak. Fairfield also went 20-0 in the Metro Athletic Atlantic Conference last season and won the MAAC Tournament to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
Thibault-Dudonis was unanimously voted the MAAC Coach of the Year. She also won the Kay Yow National Coach of the Year award.
Before her tenure with the Stags, Thibault-Dudonis was an assistant at Minnesota (2018-2022) and Mississippi State (2016-2018).

Mike Neighbors resigned Tuesday after eight years at the helm of his alma mater.

"For me, being a Razorback, one day being the head coach would have been plenty," Neighbors told ESPN. "I think I got to coach 2,898 days. So I'll look at it in its entirety."

Neighbors, who previously led the University of Washington to a 2016 Final Four appearance behind star player Kelsey Plum, went 148-114 during his time in Fayetteville and guided the Razorbacks to six postseason appearances.

"I'll walk out of here shoulders back, chin up. ... Being from this state, I've been a Razorback since I was 5. ... It's hard, but we ask kids to do hard things all the time," he said.

Neighbors, 55, admitted his teams didn't win enough toward the end, with the Razorbacks finishing the 2024-25 campaign 10-22 and 3-13 in SEC play, tied for last in the conference.

Kellie Harper back in the SEC

Kellie Harper will be the next head coach of the Missouri Tigers, multiple sources confirmed to SB Nation on Tuesday afternoon. Missouri is expected to make an official announcement this week.

Harper spent this past year working for the SEC Network as a studio analyst and color commentator, but will now be the head coach at her fifth different Division I program. Harper, 47, who won three national titles playing for Pat Summitt at Tennessee in the late 1990s, has previously been the head coach at Western Carolina, N.C. State, Missouri State and her alma mater, Tennessee.
